      I’m trying to ‘Mark’ a target of opportunity I located in SP FCR mode. Documentation say’s (DASH 34-1, 1.4.5.1.8 ) to get the FCR SOI in SP mode, hit TMS up, which works fine, but when in MARK mode on the ICP, i cant make the FCR SOI, since TMS UP creates a mark. If i get the cursor over the target in SP mode, and hit the ICP 7 to enter mark mode, the FCR resets to normal GM mode, with focus on the current SP (which may not even be on the screen). Hitting OSB8 again to get to SP mode, puts me back in the situation i cant make it SOI with TMS UP as stated above. Hope i’m making sense. ?

      Only way i have found to mark this target of opportunity, is to offset (CZ) from the closest SP which is certainly not ideal or reliable. Hoping i’m missing something obvious.

        go to snow plow mode and orient- you will see “NOT SOI” until you hit tms up once, then it will go away. Now you can slew, now hit up the ICP 7. Dauber right, SEQ to the FCR on the markpage. Tms up will assign the steerpoints 25-30. 0 SEL will switch you to the one you just made, or whichever one is currently shown on the DED.

        Dauber left RET once you’re done, hit CZ- get the dumb out of the system. now you can slew those assigned steers.

        The problem you’re having is coming from the mechanization of SP mode and how it limits your SOI to the visible TD box until you TMS up the first time. FYI it does the same thing with the ole TGP too.

          @fairlycertain:

          ……now hit up the ICP 7. …

          …… until I get to MARK FCR mode. (or dobber to do the same thing. Easier to hit ICP 7 couple of times since finger already on that button.).,

          Problem remains, once I enter MARK mode, I loose SP mode on the FCR, so my Target of opportunity is gone and can’t get FCR as SOI while in Mark mode and FCR SP mode.

            Mark initializes differently based on certain things. Hold down TMS forward or have a FTT/MTT before pressing the ICP button. Then it’ll initialize FCR mark source and you can mark.

              Many thanks Frederf. Just needed to TMS up to get to FTT, then ICP 7 leaves me in MARK FCR mode.
              Worked a treat. Cheers
