Can BMS support/see more than 32 DX buttons?
-
Posted in Main Discussion area but may be better here…
New knowledge (to me) is that Direct X now supports 128 DX assignments now (since what version, no idea), but BMS seems limited to 32. I can run a Target script to give my Warthog throttle full use (on/off/middle) of all 2 and 3 way switches with +32 buttons but BMS does not see them, is this a limitation of the software or something that can be changed? I currently use the “Release” function to get the same functionality but would “like” to run the same controller in all sims… -
I’m a little confused about the 32 limitation since the warthog stock key files show DX numbers in excess of 60 (not counting the +256 shift state).

Because the Warthog is 2 devices the stick and the throttle are seen seperate therefore 1st device DX 1-32 2nd Device 33-64

It not what your Device itself puts out. It’s BMS / AL in combination with DeviceSorting.txt.
BMS uses internally DX1-32 for the first device. For your second device even it shows physically DX1-32 BMS/AL adds +32 for the next device +64 for the third device.
Hence the +256 for the first shifted Layer by default. 8 devices with 32 buttons = +256 to shift up button DX1 on first deviceGesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk

Why is it unable to use the warthog throttle coolie hat? Is there a hat limit on the throttle?
Update: Coolie 4 directions count in the 32 limit so it’s out, though I wonder why the coolie and not the other comms switch.
