Saitek X52 (non pro) mouse cursor sliding
-
Dear all.
I tried to find this issue if anyone has experienced the same but I couldn’t.
Sorry in advance if this thread is duplicated. When I plug the throttle usb, the mouse cursor moves up without control by itself. I have set the mini stick as the mouse and sometimes it stops doing this after a while. Other times it is not possible and continues doing this.
Any suggestion?Thank you.

You are not alone. Both the Pro and Non-Pro X52 have issues with the mouse ministick in some games/sims. First tip is to move all axes to maximums (and minimums) after first plugging it into a USB port, before using the X52 in game/sim. Second tip is to manually control the deadzones in the Windows Game Controller Properties window. Finally, you can use STT programming software to manually disable the mouse ministick, or change it over to ‘bands’ to function as keypresses at the cardinals instead, or reorder the axis in the registry.
Even with all that done, I still have friends reporting continuous movement after pushing the ministick in a direction rather than stopping when returned to the neutral position, unsure if they missed a step or have other issues. Additionally, if you keep your X52 unplugged when not in use, any deadzones (or even MFD lighting settings) may need to be reapplied once connected to USB again, sometimes even if using the same USB port every time.
The instructions for my X52 Pro ‘Falconeer’ profile for BMS includes screenshots and steps for setting deadzones, link below if it helps - and you can find info on how to set up ‘bands’ for the ministick in STT programming software in the second link below:
