Saitek x52 Pro pcb connector cable bent
-
Hi all,
I just received my stick and it is exactly as the seller had posted on the ebay ad. Although there is now a standing issue and question i have and was wondering if there is a fix for this. one of the ends of the pcb connector cable that is used to connect the throttle to the joystick is bent and therefore the stick cannot be connected to the throttle control. I was wondering if there was a way to fix the bent end of the pcb cord. If not where can i get a new pcb connector cable for my joystick?
i appreciate the quick responses and for reading this in advanced and hope to hear from you all soon.
thank you so much in advance once again

It’s just a PS2 to PS2 cable isn’t it? Is the pin-out special?
-
pretty sure its standard. Kinda one of the few things I appreciate about the stick.

@ Starstriker
Have you got a multimeter? just check pin to pin if you have, i thought it was just a straight through pin to pin PS2 to PS2.
If i can find my meter i’ll check when i get home later. -
Okay i got it to work but now i have an issue where i cannot calibrate the stick. I need help.
The drivers are installed but the stick isnt responding to them. Idk what it is.

@ Starstriker, are you using USB 3.0 ?
and do both parts of the Hotas Setup light up?
If you are using USB 3, remove all the associated drivers, reboot and see if the stick and throttle light up.
if its just down to not being able to calibrate the stick (but both parts of the hotas setup are lit) i have no idea.

yeah its a 3.0 port and both hotas’s light up.
Okay ill try that thanks
edit: i tried what you suggested @ SlinkyJim and it still hasnt been fixed.

Hmm. Usually all Saitek issues i’ve seen or seen others report on stem from USB compatibility issues which is why i recommended you disable the USB 3, and remove those usb drivers (usually the ones installed that come with the motherboard). I think the best bet is to go try it on a mates PC (preferably one without USB 3 enabled) and see if that does the same, just make sure you put the right drivers on from the saitek website.
Dont forget once you’ve installed the drivers and plugged in the Stick as per the installation instructions, that USB port will be the one you must use from then on.
