(mouse)Head movement adjustment
-
I know the current body movement will lean the eye position to the side if we’re looking back in the cockpit, but it only starts to move the eye position to the side when we rotate more than about 90 degrees…
is it possible to make it start to move to side a lot earlier? like even from beginning? as long as we look to the left/right, the the eye position should start to move to the side, is there any configuration value that we can tweak for this?
thanks a lot!

Well you may know, you can do it manually, by press-and-hold center button (wheelbutton) and slide mouse to the side a bit.
But I take your point … I feel much the same way. I’ve been thinking of authoring an OpenTrack plugin, to perform more natural head-motion in response to mouse (and/or analog thumbstick) input.

Isn’t it easier… why not “Enter the TRACK-IR” century , then ?
(is already an old news …, today with VR)No need buying like original expensive TrackIR 5 or such.
There are much cheaper, (PsEye3) , versions , or even DIY solutions. (I’ve bought only camera <10$ and 3xIR-diodes… <20$ total)
You can even link your smart-phone to “Opentrack” (if phone has at least 2 axis sensors) , yaw and pitch. - magnetic-sensors
You can even use old “face” tracking, by a webcam. (not quite perfect, but it kinda works, for some better , for some worse)
You have “zilliion” other ways then ancient mouse-look …
Eh, why not ?? …
Cheers
