Hey mates
i can see many of you connecting to my server (you are welcome)
Is it just to test your connection or do you fly some mission ???
I don’t see any report about your mission …
Please, a little word here just to say if all was alright and a little report of your flight should be great
THX

Multiplayer must question
i would like your knowledge and specialy MP dev about which BW is the best for connection specialy in Korea PvP and generaly
i our team some pilots have upload BW below 420 kbits and download 1000 kbits, which bw do you suggest since it is full dublex connection…
if they try to connect with e.g 1000 the upload transfer is low than 1000 and max to 420 correct?
The pilots with low upload speed must they connect into server with max upload speed ? or max download speed?
and generaly the BW that works better in campaign with IVC on and clouds on is e.g up to 2000?
i need your knowledge and experience
thank you ALL

I think BadBoy has very clearly stated a 512bw for the Korean pvp.

The question is for assimetric broadband connections the clients must connect with max download speed or max upload speed :)?
-
512bw? I think if you read the instructions on MP in general they mention a -25% of the total bw. I haven’t seen somewhere a word about max speeds.

BW speed clever boy …. and 25% for download bw or upload bandwith for assymetric connections?
e.g down 8000kbits …up 512 kbits 25% = ?

upload… it is clear in the instructions
-
Or to be precise
Connection Bandwidth
For the time being you must enter a value in this box (future versions may automate this). Unfortunately there isn‘t really a hard and fast rule for what to put here. The value is used to help manage network traffic on your connection to avoid flooding while keeping the throughput as high as practical. As a general rule of thumb, enter the upload speed of your connection minus 25% in kilobits. For example, if you upload capacity is 1000 kilobits per second then you would enter 750 in this box.
Please refer to our web site articles for more specific guidance on this topic, particularly as it relates to hosting games.bms manual page 10

For the best mp smooth experience, connect with a bandwidth set to 2000 ??? UP /Down? -
oh well… since you can’t see the obvious sorry for wasting your time
-
Ιn comms window put 512. It means down, since the server does the upload thing.
