HI Everyone!

Hi Everyone!
I thought I’d dust off my copy of F4 and see what’s new. BMS is always a good place to start for state of the art mods (plus, I had to post at least once to keep my UID from getting purged again!). Anyway…
I’ve got a NIB TM HOTAS Cougar I’m thinking of getting modded. I noticed there is still an FCC mod by Vipercore. But are there still aftermarket parts/service for replacing the cheap OEM buttons, switches, and springs of the Cougar? Or better yet, is there an alternative, newer, better HOTAS available for purchase without having to mod?
Thanks,

I have the TM Warthog HOTAS…love it, very pleased with it. I hear the Saitek X65 and X55 are pretty decent as well, and about 1/2 the price of the TM.
Authenticity and functionality? TM Warthog, imho.
Good luck!

You cannot go wrong with the X-55. The price is pretty decent. Plenty of buttons for programming.

I second the TM Warthog, love the HOTAS. A couple of things to note though, no twist stick so you need rudder pedals and there are no rotaries for radar range/elevation control. Of course there are great workarounds using one of the many hat switches.

Hey F1, get on the stick.

Impressive choice of hardware these days! Hmmm…how about a hybrid setup, Warthog stick, Cougar throttle, CH pedals? Programing might be cumbersome or even problematic though.
Better yet(?), googling around, I found these:
Bugeye Tech
Bugeye is appropriate name for the company…is what happens when the customer finds out how pricey their stuff is!

http://aerotronicsllc.com/products.htmLooks like more homework to do before I can get back on the stick! Maybe I’ll just use the KB for now…

I always come back to BMS, mav-jp’s FM rocks, 3D pit rocks, sexy lady voice in control tower rocks, its a great Sim that goes well with booze.
