Solved BMS 4.36 U3 RTT client.

@Tomcattwo Thank you! I was looking at the configuration file and it was missing 3 lines for the MFDs (2 for the width - one for the activation of the extraction) and that’s from the clean install, I did not mess with it at all, anyways, I’ll try again tomorrow, I was doing some reading too on how to configure the extraction and the BMS manual says that is not needed to modify the BMS config file, you just need to do it in the RTTClient configuration, at least that’s what I got out of it, like I said before, I’ll keep trying and let you guys know what happened, I wish I was retired so I can dedicate more time to the hobby other that just weekends, anyways, thank you again guys, I appreciate the help you gave me, I’m trying to come back after many years, and it’s very different to what it was around 8/9 years ago! Thank you again!

@Badger said: “Also, in your bms config file be sure to have:
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1”You MUST put this line in your Falcon BMS User.cfg file (found in the …Falcon BMS 4.36\User\Config folder. If you do not, RTTClient64 will not send the data to your screen(s) when in 3D. This is the way…
Look at @Badger 's post and example. His shows perfectly what needs to be in the RTTClient64.ini file to display data on two MFD monitors. Follow what @Badger said. This is the way.

@Tomcattwo said in BMS 4.36 U3 RTT client.:
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1”
I have set g_bExportRTTTextures 1” set in my config 4.36U3 and it works fine in Korea but the MFD screens are blank in Balkans … is it just me? for completeness I use MFDE to extract all cockpit dials etc. along with HELIOS.
Any help would be appreciated.

@Tomcattwo Sure, I’ll do that, now how do I edit the BMS Config file, I tried to edit it, but Windows pops and asks what program should I use, or if I want windows to find a program from the web to edit it, does BMS have an included tool for this? I looked at the Tools folder but I couldn’t see anything that will edit the file. Sorry guys, like I said I’m coming back from a long break from the hobby due to real life events and just trying to learn all the new stuff, thanks for all the help, I really appreciate you guys putting the time and effort to help me!

@Ironman53rd This is no help but, I use RTT to extract MFDs only and it works fine in all theaters.
I do not use helios at all.
I do use MFDE but, for the ATD only.
Everything else I’m still using YAME. -
@Poppy no worries, glad to have you back.
You can use notepad to edit the file. Also, you’ll want to use a coordinate finder to help place the screens in the correct position, assuming you are using external monitor(s) for display, I use one called Mofiki’s Coordinate Finder, a google search will find it. It will get you close enough then you have to fine tune from there.

OK, Good news! I applied all of you guys advise and extraction is working now!! Yayyy!! Now it’s time to play with the settings, and figure out the positions, but with the advise you guys gave me that shouldn’t be that difficult. I just needed to learn how to do it right and you guys were awesome at helping me with this matter. Thank you again, and happy flying! Out to work now, gotta make some money to buy more stuff for my pit!

Is anyone using MFDE to extract the MFD’s in the Balkan theatre - if so how did you get it to work?
Thanking you in anticipation.

@Ironman53rd I use to use MFDE but switched over to RTT much better across the board. Have you given it a try?
