Updater.exe need Update

Hello,

i tried to update the falcon bms 4.37.0 version to 4.37.1 with the updater.exe
I followed this thread

But i get the error, that the updater need a update to update the falcon bms installation. Check attachment.

Is that normal?

Hm, i tried to find the “bms downloader application”.

If i search in this forum, i do not get a result.
With the seach engines google.com or bing.com i find only websites likes this one:
https://bms-solutions.de/downloads

I do not think, that is the right one.
Where i can find this bms downloader application ?

I tried to use the tool Falcon_BMS_Downloader too.
But i get this following error.

because on our website it is clearly stated:

I think i downloaded the 4.37.0 version from this website.

But i just uninstalled falcon bms 4.37.0, downloaded everything again and just installed it again.
Now i have falcon bms 4.37.1

PS: The updater.exe still not works inside the folder C:\Falcon BMS 4.37
Same error like above.

i checked this box in the downloader and get the error from posting #2.

But i know whats going wrong.:
The exe file Falcon_BMS_Downloader.exe works only, if you installed allready the the falcon bms Update 1.
With my fresh installation with update 1, i restarted the Falcon_BMS_Downloader.exe and now i can update the updater.exe file.
It do NOT work, if falcon bms 4.37.0 is installed only.

Now the only question I have is why this updater.exe exists if it doesn’t perform its primary task. Does not make sense somehow.

And if i start the updater.exe now i get the following message.:

Anyway, starting this updater version, it should update without having touse the downloader…

@MaxWaldorf about downloader, Malwarebyte detect it like a malware and delete it. do you know why ?

The solution provided by Max works. Just run the newest installer and tick the box " just update my updater.exe"
afterwards you should be able to update via launcher.

Sorry to sound stupid … what do you call “Newest installer” ?

And what does “BMS Downloader application” means ?

Yes, I finaly found out in the meantime …

So to summarize my understanding :
There is 2 installation modes : Offline & Online

Offline mode is the closest to legacy installation mode : You get the instalation files throught torrent and you run the installation localy

With Online mode you let the Falcon_BMS_Downloader and the Updater to do the job and installing directly without intermediate downloading.

The trick with the Online mode is to have the up-to-date Updater, and for that you need to go back to 4.37.0 download page and reload and run the Falcon_BMS_Downloader. Which then allow you to only update the Updater if you are not doing a full installation.
