@drtbkj I think you misunderstood what he meant here. The HUD projection is just empty, no text and symbology visible. He was not talking about MFD’s. I have seen this to on some russian jets in more than one theater. Pick the su-27 ukrain for example in Nevada. Just not sure if it was fixed now after latest updates.
Cheers Obi1
Hi, Obi. Understood. To be honest, idk what work has been done on the SU-27. However, K’12 is one of the older releases. I don’t have k’12 in my personal collection, so can’t test at the moment, but in OFMKTO the UKR Flanker has a HUD.So, do the 2.4 UniUp and the 2.4.1 Hotfix and let us know about any specific problems( campaign, jet type, etc), including picture(s).

@drtbkj Just tested and in any ofm theater including afghanistan i get the no hud issue. in any flanker type like su-27, j11, su 35s. i just create a TE in those theaters and start midair. No hud projection, but also on MFD i get a strange new kind of radar mode. Maybe this is somekind of Wip cockpit and you have a setting enabled in cfg to disable wip cockpits. like F18. Just guessing but sure we have different settings if you get a normal hud projection and mfd views
cheers Obi1

Hi, Obi. Do I understand that when you create a TE and start in-air you get no HUD? If so, that’s strange because as that’s exactly how I tested. Hhhmmm.
Can you provide details/ picture(s) of this "strange radar mode?
I’m not aware of any WIP cockpit for these jets, but others are more involved with such jets. Maybe I didn’t “get the memo” . I’m going to ask , over in our Discord, if others are seeing this. -
@Obi1 If you want working avionics in these aircraft, you need to disable the experimental F-4 avionics. Set the following in your BMS User config file.
set g_bEnableWIPF4Avionics 0
-
@SammySkycrafts I did not tried this one yet, i did disable with wipf18, did not know about the wipf4. I will try and see if this solves the problem. Thanks

See, Obi, I knew the OFM Tech Brains would help , and what Sammy is saying is true. Certain jets use other jets “stuff”. In this case, the F-4, apparently.
This may to be a good tip any jets that suddenly exhibit strange behavior. Turn off those 3 WIP avionics and see if it helps.
We tested the F-18 with the new avionics quite a bit. We decided to turn them off until they mature. But, OFM stuff does work with the new avionics, they’re just limited ,atm, especially air-to-ground -
@drtbkj I did run into an issue yesterday with the throttles not working on the F-22

Hi, Jumpstart. Did that persist? Are you seeing this in other jets? We’ve not seen that at all. Personally, I have seen that my HOTAS(Warthog) seems to need to be woken up at times when spawning, no matter what the jet is . In fact, I always start with throttle at idle. If you can repro send us the data( K’12? Updates in place? with campaign? ACMI? etc) we’ll certainly check it out
-
@drtbkj I’ll see if it does it again later today. This was in the X-Plane componet of the theater pack. I did not see it with the F35

just to confirm, this setting solved the hud projection and mfd wip issue. So we have f4, f18 and another variant? Curious what the third one is?

@drtbkl Just wanted to come back. The throttle movement issue has been resolved, the only thing I see here with the 22 is the fuel load is no more than 7500lbs.
-
Fuel load in the AFM.dat are probably the same as on the F-16. Needs to be changed to match the 22’s load.
-
@Scorpion82 What do I look for it’s a little confusing.
-
There is a fuel section and it would be necessary to calculate the percentages of the internal fuel, which is 7162 lb = 100%. You have to calculate the values from these percentages based on 18500 lb = 100%.
-
@Scorpion82 this is what I see for fuel under the f-22a_afm.dat;
14 # Nrb of fuel tanks (including drop tanks) - Keep 9 internal.
