Where to learn how to handle comms?
-
Anyone can point me to a tutorial or a doc to learn how to handle 4.37 comms? I have no idea how to change the freq in order to talk with other needed actors like tower, AWACS or intraflight comms.
Also, how can I make the needed Freqs of a mission show/appear on the kneeboard?Thanks a lot!

@Stratos
Please see BMS-Comms-Nav-Book.pdf page 11. -
@Stratos You need to use the ICP to switch radio channels.
For instance, to select preset UHF channel 4:
press COM 1
press 4
press EntrThere are also shortcuts you can use to go from, say, preset 4 to 3, but that requires that you familiarize yourself a bit with the ICP/DED. In terms of manuals, that would be the -1 (TO 1F-16CMAM-1 BMS.pdf), chapters 23-24

There are 2 ways to put a freq on the radio, you can put the channel associate with a specific freq (you should do this before flight, on your DTC)
OR, you can insert the freq manualy on UFC
Example:
You wanna talk in Freq 129.50, and this Freq is linked to your VHF Channel 02 (for example). In the UFC you will just insert “02” in the VHF Comms.
But now you wanna talk in freq 133.35, and this freq is not linked with any channel. You should procced the same way as above! In the UFC, go to your VHF and insert “13335”, and… voilá!
I’m in a hurry so… any other question i’ll be glad to answer later!
