Logbook reader
-
Hi,
Does anyone know a way/tool to read and export a logbook to a format like csv, xml or json ? -
reminds me of the old infamous logbook editor…no sorry dunno

Well actually I would write my own. But I’m looking to some info about the way the logbook is persisted. My idea would be to generate a kind of history of the evolution of a career based on regular snapshots. This could be interesting for Squadron to “monitor” the evolution of the members.

@Vehache
Have a look at LogbookManager, it may not fulfill your needs, but it is an interesting tool. -

I don’t know, but I suspect, the binary file format for logbook hasn’t changed in 10 years. There’s a 10-year-old fork of FreeFalcon on github… have a look at logbook.h/cpp
With the obvious caveat (if it still works at all) that the file format is not supported or documented, and BMS team might modify it or change it to xml or json or whoknows, in the future, without warning.
