X55 programmation

Hi all,
I am just a new owner of a X55 Rhino, and I have a lot of problem programming this one, or those because, in fact, it is recognize as two controllers.
The first one is the stick, the second the throttle. When I use the BMS controller page to assign function to a button or a hat, even a rotary (not all) those allocation run, and the key file is modify at the end.
The lines look like : “SimWheelBrakes 5 8 -2 0 0x0 0” cooresponding at the pinky button I choose.1 - point :
When I write with a copy/paste from a text editor, or by the “BMS-DX-Generator 1_6.xls” files from Kolbe (copy/paste too), other function they don’t run.2 - point :
Due to the first point, all my “shifted” function aren’t ether work. Even if I try to declare the “E” button of the throttle as a Pinky Shift, without forget to declare the “Shifted E” as Pinky Shift" :SimHotasPinkyShift 32 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimHotasPinkyShift 258 -1 -2 0 0x0 0Some question come in my mind :
1 - What is the right usage of the “profile” make into the HUD Software, with the key file modified ?
2 - Does anything is to be declare on my system to take charge of the “Shifted button” with 256 offset value ?
3 - What is the easier and more secure way to program my X55 ?
Thank you for your answer.
If you prefer I may be call on Skype or Teamspeak.

You can set the shift offset in the file C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config\falcon bms.cfg . I believe the default IS 256.
In what you pasted above, it is NOT a 256 offset (258 - 32 = 226) …. in other words, you have two different buttons assigned to the shift function.
Also, not sure how the X55 program software works, but with the X52 Pro I found that I couldn’t get the shift to work properly when the Saitek profile software had the shift button marked as ‘Latched’. Un-marking that fixed my issue. If it might be useful, check the posts here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?18522-X52-Pro-DX-Profile&p=315483&viewfull=1#post315483
I’ve used Kolbe’s spreadsheet with great success, although it did take some work to get setup. Once done it was 100% worth the effort.

Lordland - Where are you located (i.e., East Coast - US)? This may help with someone helping via TeamSpeak.

Thank you so much for your answers,
Thanks Agave_blue, I make a mistake rewrite my hotas pincky shift…. it is not 258, but 256 + 32 = 288. I Put that right in my key file.
Hoping it runs.To Dracfalcon : I am not leaving in US, but in France, in Normandy. But I don’t think it is a problem to use teamspeak, exept time decalage and my bad english
Still thank you
Reading you soon
