1000th Campaign Mission!
-
Hey guys,
Tonight I celebrate my 1000th Campaign mission. With all the CTDs back in the day I am sure I am way beyond that, but none the loss the logbook finally indicates 1000 campaign missions!

Well done! Your logbook is 18 months older than mine, I wasn’t able to find my original one from Dec 1998 any more but I did find the one from mid 2000 in a backup folder somewhere. However, unlike your 16 campaigns (!!!) I’ve never managed to finish a single campaign.

Congratulations, that’s a most impressive run!

DaveI’ve wondered if there is a Major General next?? I’m assuming my points would have to double since I was promoted to Brig Gen?

I like the photo!
It looks like about 2.56 hours per mission, so a lot of deep strikes & station keeping ?
Pilot name “Weeper”, I have a squad buddy I call “Wiper” so if he flew your wing, it would Weeper & Wiper. Sounds like a German white goods manufacture.

Back in the day when I flew BMS like a religion I really loved the Balkans campaigns and did an average 2.5 3 hour flights. That was back when I had my cockpit. The last year or so have been in Korea with 1.5 hour average flights. I can say for sure thought since the day ramp starting was an option, EVERY mission started with a full ramp start and shut down.

It is cool you managed to keep a early logbook active, the best I could do is one from the early 2000 but didn’t use it again when I came home to Falcon again around 2008.

I’m getting close.

Well I never really left Falcon so it was easy to keep and maintain. I think there was one year (IIRC 2003) I took a year off, otherwise been hooked ever since 1998.

How to get “air force medal”. I got so many of the first 3, but not a single air force medal.

I would have to search through my packed boxes but I do believe the parameters for the medals are listed in the original F4 manual?
