I have an issue with my 3 year old x65. Some buttons don’t work normally. If I move hat 3 in any direction the joystick also reports movement on hat 1 and hat 2. The same problem exists with button c and a. If I press button c then button a will also lit up in the controller setting. This problem also exists on Linux. Plugging the stick out and in again or a reboot does not help.

      My throttle still works fine.

So I can not use it for falcon or any other advanced flightsim which require the hats or a lot of buttons.

Do you have any idea how to fix this problems? I am afraid that the x65 is out of support and out of stock everywhere. I really like to force sensing 😕

Button 1, the pickle, on my x65 is intermittent now, sigh, not user fixable I would wager.

This might be more than a switch problem. It sounds like a logic problem. But I would still replace the switchs and see if it ameliorates the trouble.

I don’t have your stick, but I would think it would be possible to fix that switch. If you have a multimeter, you can determine if the switch is normally closed or normally open (I would guess N.O.) this wold test the functionality of the switch at the same time. Anyway, they make them in tons of sizes, you would look for a size approx. to yours, and hopefully one that would fit into any molded plastic supports. Just make sure the button contacts the switch to engage it properly. Solder it up and off you go. You might have to do some filing, modding to get the switch to fit though.

            Just a thought. Opinions anyone?

I don’t know if you already solve the issue with the bottom A (pickle). But mine was whit the same problem, some times works and some times didn’t.
Whit a multimeter I’ve checked the trails that send power to the bottom, and the problem is there.
The solution was to by-pass this trail with a new wire to send power. After that my X65 start working properly.
              See these pictures.
