Mud's Profile

Hey
I have the same problemCan you please tell me exatly how you solved the problem?
Either way, I’ll exxplain my problem with the hopes that somebody will help me.
I’m using Mud’s profile with Warthog hotas. Also I got the TrackIR5 and saitek pro rudder pedals.
All axis are working in the BMS, all buttons on throttle are working and pedals axis.
I have set up the Mud’s profile following it’s instructions.But, there is a problem with my joystick. Joystick axis are all fine and working. But only one button is working, and that is the Zoom in/out. Everything else I “press” on the joystick has no effect in the BMS.
Do you know how to fix this? PleaseI’m on Update 4
EDIT: and the trim is working on joystick.
Can someone please direct me to a solution? I have installed the Mud keyfile to the correct folder and .tmc profile. When I run the profile through TARGET I get no errors. When I go into setup for controllers, I load the Mud keyfile. After that, half of the buttons work. The ones that don’t are the DX buttons. I can assign some but there are some assignments that don’t show up after loading the Mud keyfile like everything for the stick. I am completely confused. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Looks like we are in the same boat.

You should not test the buttons in the BMS config, as the DX ones will not fire there. They should work fine once you’re in the pit.
This has been covered quite a few times in this thread already.
If it is that “problem”, I’m not blaming you for asking. 58 pages to go through is a bit much
I’ll add a FAQ to post 1 some time in the near future.Mud

Mud,
That would be great, but that wasn’t my issue. They wouldn’t work in the sim at all. However, on a hunch, I checked the devicesorting.txt. Somehow, Thrustmaster combined was on the bottom. I moved it back to the top where it rightfully is supposed to be, and all is good on the test flight. I assume unplugging devices probably did that. Would it help to make that a read-only as well?
Adixylian,
You may want to do the same I did. The file is located in the User/Config folder of BMS installation. It’s a .txt file, and check that Thrustmaster Combined line is at the very top. Just cut and paste, save, then test in the actual sim. Not in the setup menu like Mud mentioned.

I made mine “read only” and haven’t had an issue since.

eagle7907,
Thank you! I was having the same issues, and your fix worked for me as well.
Cheers!

Hi
I have loaded your profile into script editor and run it , shows up in the bms GUI but no buttons are assigned when I press them
the key file is in the correct file too
I’m lost -
Try in the cockpit / 3d world.

why F-16 have two engines rpm and if I separate the throttles the work like a 2-engine aircraft?

Thanks eagle7907, I had the same problem and I put the devicesorting.txt back to the top and it´s OK now.:thumb:

How does TGP zoom increase & decrease in F/A-18 please (what keyboard keys increase & decrease zoom)? Haven’t been able to find in forum search.
Thank you for any help ahead of time.And no, Alt F3 & F4 doesn’t do anything.

Mud, since I reinstalled BMS for the life of me I can’t get the control options “Thurstmaster Combined” to appear in the drop down box for controllers.
My device sorting text is:
{FFFF044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Thrustmaster Combined”
{0402044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Joystick - HOTAS Warthog”
{0404044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Throttle - HOTAS Warthog”
{B351044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “F16 MFD 1”
{B352044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “F16 MFD 2”
{B679044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “T-Rudder”I know it has worked in the past.
What am I doing wrong here? How do I get “Thrustmaster combined” to appear as an option in BMS? I see keyboard, Joystick - HOTAS Warthog, Throttle - HOTAS Warthog, F16 MFD 1, F16 MFD 2, T-Rudder.

Solved. Had to restart my system and flush garbage.

Hey,
is it possible to lower the sensitivity of TDC? I looked at the script in TARGET and thought that changing values in these lines would probably achieve that.
//Throttle Slew Axis
MapAxis(&Throttle, SCX, DX_XROT_AXIS, AXIS_NORMAL, MAP_ABSOLUTE);
SetSCurve(&Throttle, SCX, 0, 15, 0, 0, 0);
MapAxis(&Throttle, SCY, DX_YROT_AXIS, AXIS_REVERSED, MAP_ABSOLUTE);
SetSCurve(&Throttle, SCY, 0, 15, 0, 0, 0);But to be honest I am not exactly sure which number represents which curve (if it represents curve at all) and hence don’t know which one to change (and if increase or decrease) in order to slow down the TDC.

Hi, I have a problem and I do not have any function in CMS. Everything is OK but the buttons do not work in the cabin. Someone else with the same problem?
Great work Mud, and with incredible support. Thank you!

regardsHmmm, if all other buttons are working, then my first guess would be that it’s an avionics / system issue. But it’s been ages since I have flown BMS so too rusty there to give you any pointers.
The CMS functions are mapped to DX buttons, just like DMS and TMS are.Br,

Hi
I’ve been using this script very successfully for some time now but obviously the new BMS 4.34 key callbacks mean that quite a lot of the buttons no longer work like they did in 4.33. Does anyone know whether there are any plans for a 4.34 version of the profile?
Thanks

In the meantime Duke there’s now a default Warthog layout you could use in the Docs folder.
-
narrowsoul, the default layout seems to be completely messed up for me - throttle assignments on the stick, and nothing on the throttle!
-
Quick update guys.
I’ve managed to get Mud’s profile to work in 4.34 (I think). Copied Mud’s key profile over to the new install (BMS 4.33 - Mud.key) and then ran the original Target script that I’ve been using for 4.33 (BMS 4.33 - Mud.tmc). All the buttons and switches seem to be doing exactly what they were doing in 4.33 now.
I think the mistake I made was copying the Target script across to BMS 4.34 and trying to make it run from there. That really f`d things up, big time. Deleting that new Target script file and running the original one seemed to sort the problem. I just did a quick flight tonight so I can’t be 100% sure it’s fixed but everything on my Warthog and MFD setup was doing exactly what I expected it to do.

Any update on this? Does it work in 4.34?
