RE: Eurofighter Typhoon
Well I think if you are within the specs is not a real problem. I mean if you are -+10cm in the dimensions then you are ok. But of course be dead on will be better! I think i might be wihin that margin in Length witch is fixable (missing around 10 cm) but as said i thought the overall plane looked too long to my eyes (it was a bit over 16m -3ds measurements-) now looks a bit better so i have to find a way to be precise without massing with the UV and have to re-do it again.
In general even if i miss 10cm for my eyes is ok (if i try to fix it wihout losses to all work overall) therefore after i have to re-enter the parent dimensions of course (hitbox-bubble etc) to better include the current model so the new BMS “options” can be available (near missile miss and hit etc) and correct i believe. I see what i can do I belive this model needs that love
Also thinking of buying a scale model in 1/48 lately (lol)Hi Manos
I know you’re a very busy guy but I was just wondering if there was any update on your fantastic Typhoon model? Very much looking forward to flying it -
RE: Kuwait Theater tester version 1 now available
are there any air superiority issues? red team air force somehow manages to get deep into my territory
Hi bigsmokechungus
At the start of the campaign the Coalition have a slim advantage in air superiority over the Iraqi air force. The BMS campaign engine won’t behave like Saddam did in RL and either ground his planes or whisk them off to Iran. That would make for a pretty one sided and fairly boring campaign. So you can expect a fair bit of aggression from the Iraqi air force early on and they will launch deep strikes against your assets, including your airbases. That’s what the campaign AI is designed to do, on both sides.
A key factor in any BMS campaign is how well you do in your missions. If you consistently achieve your objectives then this will have a significant positive impact on the campaign outcome. If you don’t then the reverse is true.
Don’t forget that you can always add mission packages yourself. You don’t have to rely purely on the campaign generated flights. You can also take control of your ground units as well and order them to take key objectives. This can have a significant impact on the outcome of a campaign.

RE: Kuwait Theater tester version 1 now available
Write here - which models of Tornado are needed for this theater. And what weapons need to be added to them.
Later, I will try to add according to your wishes. Now available:
- Tornado GR-1. (desert Skin of Saudi Arabia). (Weapons of about the era of the 90s)
- Tornado IDS I. (I recently found a desert skin for it) (Weapons from about the 90s era)
- Tornado ADV aka F3 - with the usual skin. (Weapons from about the era of the 90s. - Aim-9, Skyflash)
Tornado GR-1 in desert skin is good for me thanks (we switched from JP233 to high level LGBs quite early on). We had to use very old Blackburn Buccaneers to lase targets because the GR-1s didn’t have laser pods at the time. Wouldn’t worry about that too much though. I think the RAF ADV’s were their usual grey colour in the Gulf War so that’s fine too. Jackal will be able to advise on the Italian variant.

RE: Kuwait Theater tester version 1 now available
Testing news update: JP233 are working like hell, dear mates.
They are deadly toys  indeed, matching with Tornado GR.1 so nice, Better launching them in CCIP, I guess.
This apart, you can’t see anything good in the debriefing screen, they say you missed because a bug also if you hit well.
But it’s a true and well known bug in 4.34 A/G missions, you can’t help it except for awaiting its fix in the next BMS update (I think). With best regards.
Hi Jackal & good to hear that you’re enjoying dodging the Iraqi AAA I must give it a go sometime for old time’s sake. Shame about the A/G debriefing bug but I’m sure the BMS guys will be on the case.
Also great news that Malc and SpbGoro are putting so much effort into this long lost theatre. Really appreciate your work guys and it’s fantastic to see Desert Storm back where it belongs again. Thanks guys

It works… IT WORKS!!!
THX SpbGoro
:bowd:Another thig…
I have nice UK Desert Storm skins for Tornado GR1 (from 4.33). I found texture numbers for plane but i cant find texture numbers for ecm pods and external fuel tanks. Any advice?Sounds good pgk007 Do we have the JP233 runway denial weapon, I’ve not checked tbh? Probably not a great idea running near suicidal attacks at low level against Iraqi airfields, though, as several of our Tornado crews found out to their cost in RL

RE: Kuwait Theater tester version 1 now available
ATC in the campaign sitll doesn’t work, is there a quick fix for it? i don’t have MC btw
The dev team are working on this currently.
There is a temporary workaround but you’d need MC in order to use it.

It’s a must have tool to be honest
