AMRAAM launching-malfunction
-
Hello everybody,
I have a problem with firing a rocket and one rocket only (the one I need the most) and that is the AIM-120 AMRAAM.
Selecting the A-A mastermode and selecting the aim-120 won’t even allow me to launch an AIM-120 missile, even the alt release button doesn’t do anyting (it works with the other weapons)Can somebody tell me how I can solve this ?
Thanks in advance and have safe flights everybody

Keep the pickle button pressed for at least a second, so that the target data can be transferred to the missile.
-
I assume you have a target locked up?
Otherwise you need to change to ‘Bore’ in the SMS page.
-
Yes, the target is always locked but even then, it won’t fire.
Even when bore is on.Thank you

Had ik niet aan gedacht, zal het eens proberen, bedankt

I’m assuming you have the master arm switch on if you are launching other weapons during the same mission….
-
Check master arm on, check missile selected, check target tracking, press and hold WPN REL button…alternately with no target press and hold the cursor enable and press and hold the WPN REL button.
You need to transfer the target info to the missile, as Eagle-Eye said. Dont think its modelled in BMS but you cant fire a second one in that same time period after launch, either - if you let go and depress it again within 1 and a half seconds that can cause a second missile to fly out without targeting information or datalink updates… but again not in BMS.
