      Greetings,

I have a Surface that I like to use to review ACMI using Falcon BMS. However, when installing BMS it won’t allow me to select the 😧 drive for install which is an SSD card.

Is there a way to manually move the install after? I really don’t need the install sitting on my 😄 drive since I don’t use it that much.

      I appreciate any feedback.

      Thanks,

      -Matt

        Yes u can.
        Copy paste.
Edit registry and change drive letter _ path.
        U r done.

I believe in my hotlist u will find reference for the registry keys and how to edit them.

Before u screw anything export the original keys just in case.

I’m not sure why the installer would block it, I have my Falcon install on an SSD.

Thanks for the help guys. I actually checked Arty’s hotlist and couldn’t find it. Re-running the installer (after change the dir name of the initial install) barked about the reg entry not pointing to the right directory. However, the reg location in the error message is wrong “HKLM\Software\Benchmark Sims” is incorrect. It’s actually at “HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Benchmark Sims”. I’m not sure if this is a Windows 10 issue, or the devs simply changed the key. One thing to note though, even as an admin when I searched for “Benchmark Sims” in the reg the Wow6432Node key never showed up. May be a permission thing.

I’m now running from my SSD card.

Again, thanks for the input folks.

The wow64 registry key path is correct and is for 64bit operating systems.
So u r on the correct path
              Change there the directory path
Make the changes to your shortcuts and u will be fine.

If you’re wanting the second install just to watch acmi clips, you should consider trying tacview. http://tacview.strasoftware.com
