Hi so i have just received my X55 and it came with no driver, but i’m guessing this is due to being able to find this online. After plugging in both stick and throttle to my pc, it failed to install and isnt recognised when i click on computer in my start menu.

I just found where to download the software for the X55 but it says its for Windows 8 and i have 7, is this still ok with Windows 7?

Its ok when i scrolled further down, it has for Windows 7 too. I did read somewhere about people not liking to use the Saitek software online so can anyone shed any light on that?

I have no complaints about the Saitek software. I would install it for sure.

But as much as possible, your keybindings and axis mappings should be done inside BMS, not in the Saitek software.

Concur with ASharpe. I also have downloaded the software…but at the moment I have not programmed any buttons with it.

A lot of people programmed the X55 in BMS, but I created a profile using the software. It was a little difficult at first, but after watching a video by Frugal’s that shows you how to use the software, it was easy. My profile works like a charm and I only use 2 modes, so I still have room to program more controls. Why only use 1/3 of the sticks potential??

I saw a noticeable half second delay using their software. Don’t want to die to a heater because of that.

I haven’t experienced any delays. Everything is nice and smooth even when refueling.

No delays for me either, i use the software for mode 2 and extras like the rotaries. Cant not use it imo, you miss alot of extras.
