Nice update, just a quick note… is the menu screen now able to be resized to fit modern displays? Thanks for all the hard work

RE: Good Quality and Good Performance Guide - NVIDIA
Had the same issue with the 1080Ti until a good friend suggested I tick off in the configuration:
Hardware > Shaders > Shadow Mapping > Focus Shadows.
I’ve got only Cockpit Shadows ticked in that section. This simple change bumped up my FPS by 30.
Since it only affects your own shadow over objects I could exchange seeing my own shadow on the tarmac or sea or clouds for a huge increase in FPS.I know what your saying but bms without the shadows under aircraft at bases etc doesn’t look great at all, hard to turn that one off

RE: Help with RESHADE please
For some reason people’s sigs only appear in some posts here, never worked out why.
Here’s my preset: https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/6772/
H, how do i use your settings? Do i load it via the reshade menu or rename it and overwrite an existing file, and if so which one? Reshade is completely new to me…

RE: FPS testing on BMS
Surely nobody still believes the human eye 24fps myth anymore yet it’s still being spread. If you switch to 60fps video from 24fps blu ray or whatever then the difference is staggeringly unnatural at first yet eventually makes 24fps seem unnatural.
30fps console games are unplayable to me and the joy of Prepare3d meaning I don’t have to put up with 25fps is wonderful.
Fair enough some individuals might not be sensitive to low fps but this is just mis-information in my opinion.
I’m also not sure that visual acuity has anything to do with FPS sensitivity but maybe I’m wrong.
Perhaps I was wrong to accuse of trolling but to try to bust a non-myth with a well known myth annoyed me and I was very surprised to get to my reply without anybody on here saying anything.
Very true, you can tell when things are around the 30 easily, over 60 isnt a myth but almost a requirement in a lot of games these days, the difference can be very noticeable between 25-30 & over 60.

Sound issues in 4.34?
Hi all, i’ve just been trying out 4.34 and i have noticed a few things about the sounds of other airplanes. If i load one of the new TE mission (i forget the number) im in a line of f-16s. The jets to my right are ready but there is no sound apart from the strange whine of a taxiing harrier. Same goes for huge jstars & a-10s that taxi past, there are no sounds from them at all, just my jet and cockpit noises. There are a line of jets queued up but all is quiet. Is this normal or something up with my setup perhaps?

RE: Some issues with alt -tab & getting bms to run../.
Strangely the issue seems resolved, I ran bms tonight and it works fine?! Didn’t have to use the disable FS optimizations thankfully.

Some issues with alt -tab & getting bms to run../.
Ok, im trying to restart my BMS training after quite a while away. Now i have ran into the resolution issue with the latest win10 update, and the only way i can get bms to run as it did before is Alt-tab out, and then back in and all seems ok. (without this, it fails to start, black screen flickers - ‘bms has been prevented from accessing graphics hardware error’ etc)
Last night i started to setup my yame extraction, and build up my gauges on my second screen etc. The issue im having now, is this. I click yame to start up, and run client, all is ok, my gauges show up on my second screen and then start bms inside yame. Again all is ok, the problem is now what i go to alt-tab out, bms goes into a 1024*768 size, top left on my main screen, thats fine but it is not responsive to the mouse or anything else, it just sits there on the menu and it doesnt seem to respond to anything and i have to restart windows to clear it as it covers any windows open behind it and so i cant get to them. Windows thinks bms is running fine but it’s not much use.
Anyone come up against this issue, any ideas to fix?
Thanks for any help…

RE: Cockpit resolution?
Maybe more to do with the low res of the bms menu confusing windows, which is understandable as there are not many instances it will need to change resolution to 1024x768!
