[4.3.3] Black screen after take off and grphics issues

Hi,

first three pics while ramp start:

From the sat view:

From the orbit view:

As you can see, while sat view gear is missing, even the whole a/c…

The BlackScreen:
I made my ramp start, roll on the runway, AB, takeoff, 3 sec. later screen goes black, F-BMS is not responding any more
Then I started the TE on the runway, but the same, AB, takeoff, 3 sec. later screen went black, F-BMS is not responding any more

My computer:
i5-3450, AMD-HD-7770, SSD, 8 GB RAM, Win-7-64

Any help?

I still do have a ‘BlackScreen’-problem!

I’ve made another TE (named as TE-2), started from the runway, all fine…but ~15min later -> BlackScreen.
I installed a new AMD driver, started again with this TE-2, ~15min later a “short BlackScreen”[1] , again ~15min later -> totally BlackScreen[1].

[1] I was over Kotar range and it happend after throwing some bombs and it was a “3sec-BlackScreen”, then the sim was back.
[2] It happend short to the landing at Kimpo

There is no crash log…, 4.3.3 is starting in the 64bit-mode.
The sim is running with ~28FPS.
The Window event is: App hanging.
BTW: No problems of this kind with 4.3.2…

It would be really nice if someone has an advice for me…

What are the specs of you sirs?

My specs are:
i5-IVY-Bridge-3450 (third gen), 8 GB RAM, SSD, AMD HD-7770

Do you, dear sirs, use vanilla 4.3.3?
(Momentary I’m using e.g. my old 4.3.2-key file…)

Later in the evening I will make some tests…
One will be with the vanilla key file…
One will be belonging to “Timeout Detection and Recovery” for the GPU (the graphic card)… (Maybe 4.3.3 gets my VGA to the limit.)
One will be with reducing the graphical elements like trees, grass…

This behaviour reminds me of the game ‘BioShock’ part 2, wich shows “the same” behaviour. A “couple” of minutes is all fine, then BlackScreen. I was never been able to solve it completly with my momentary rig… I hope that I will find a solution for F-BMS 4.3.3<finger crossing=“”>.

Please, sent your specs…

yes it’s an issue, as you say, didn’t check it personally, but minor I would say, mostly affects video recordings. Maybe it’s a step forward for simulated realistic video recordings… :lol: on the last.

What the prob is? The prob is, that I get a BlackScreen each ~15 Min.! And this is “deadly”, especially you fly e.g. a campaign mission and the sim crashes short to the landing!
And to the first pics (no gear, no a/c), I do not know if there is a context to the BlackScreen’s… It can, cannot, I do not know.

Ah, and BTW and not to forget: If I get a BlackScreen next time I will have at once a look on the temp’s…

Arty, it is a prob, these BlackScreen’s, You fly through the world and at the point you get happy, you was thrown out!

Hi,

made some test flights this evening because of the BlackSreen’s.
Result:
Same TE like yesterday (Training from Kimpo) ->
some bombs over Kotar range ->
a short BlackScreen (~2sec.)
RTB ->
WP 7, 8, 9, 10 (landing) -> short to Kimpo -> BlackScreen full

[1] Made a new TE nearly the same ass the TE before.
There I take off from the runway and selected nearly direct (still over Kimpo) WP 10 (landing)…
Result:
Full BlackScreen after some sec…

Started this new TE again but stayed at WP 1.and made a round over Kimpo.
Result:
I could land (my first with 4.3.3!)

[2] Started again this TE, made a round over Kimpo, but selected again WP 10 (landing).
Result:
I could land.

The difference between [1] and [2] was, that the AI-wingman made RTB directly I set the landing waypoint…
Any ideas to this behaviour?

So play with your gfx settings or redance.

I am really glad, that you now can fly without any risk of any crash (I’ve read the thread!). But what the hell has it to do with BlackScreen’s e.g. after throwing bombs?!
And what the hell shall this mean to me: “…tried yesterday and I have no probs…”
Really… <no words=“”>And you guys, who posted with the same prob, or nearly the same, where are you?! It would be really nice to have a comparison, especially with the rigs…</no>

General fix for Graphics Card Black Screens regardless of Operating system.

STep One, Find Out what graphics card you have installed and write it down. The reason will become clear later.

2. Go to the MANUFATURERS site not the microsoft site for downloading the drivers, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES NO MATTER WHAT YOUR MATE SAID get them from any other site apart from the manufacturers website and get the correct language for your machine as well as the 64 or 32 bit version. Yes the drivers will be old but at least they will work. Falcons old etc.

3. Go to Control Panel and look for Programs and features, in there should be a listing of the name of the card you wrote down earlier and uninstall it. You may receive a warning which isnt surprising that the uninstall file doesnt exist any more, if this is the case then go straight to step 4. Uninstall the drivers and restart your machine

4. Run the driver installation program you have downloaded and OVERWRITE ALL files no matter what junks been shoved in there by Microsoft in the mean time to make your installation compatable with windows 10.

5. Once the latest driver packs installed reboot your machines ALWAYS.

For those who have registry checkers I would suggest you use them at this time, those in need of one can download one I use frequently CCLEANER, manufactured and programmed by Piriform. ONLY get it from Piriform and nowhere else. Its free and this isnt an advert.

Reboot your machine and try out falcon now and all should be fine.

I’ve the latest driver installed for my AMD HD-7770…
Forget for now about this f*g graphic issue with the gear, or the missing a/c’s…
Just made another new TE:
After throwing some bombs over Kotar screen goes black for about 2sec., then again all fine.
Meanwhile the sim runs with ~33FPS, over Kimpo it is ~28FPS, and with TGP ~25FPS.
And the very best is, that I could land the very first time, as I came back from a training mission and switch WP’s to 10 (imc the landing WP), with FPS ~29.
But, the hell, why?! Why do I had full BlackScreen’s before, and now they are gone?!<hopefully for=“” ever,=“” with=“” the=“” ecxeption=“” of=“” few=“” sec.=“” after=“” throwing=“” bombs=“”>.

Later in the evening I will make another TE with an easy A2A fight. I’m curious if I get a short BlackScreen, too, when the enemy a/c expplodes…

The sim now (4.3.3) is hard at the edge of my graphic cards efficiency, I know.</hopefully>

I’m sorry. Making videos was on my ToDo-list, but momentary not.
I can throw the bombs and after they explode, the BlackScreen occurs.
In my case I’ve thrown 4 bombs[1] and it seems that it happens after the second, or the third detonation…I’ not really sure at the moment. And it is equal, if it is from inside the cockpit, or from e.g. sat view. (FPS in sat view is ~40, and inside cockpit ~31.)
I also changed the registry in Win-7-64 (HomePremium) by adding a TDR delay up to 8… (default is 2 sec.). Here I can test, what happens, if I remove the updated TDR delay

[1] It happend now 3 times in three different TE’s

Cut the Particlesys.ini file to some other place, your desktop will be OK.
Launch the sim and retry.

Ok, just flown again the TE, and had thrown some bombs over Kotar.
No explosions to see, yes? (Because of the Particlesys.ini, which is momentary on my desktop?)
No BlackScreen!
Wanted first to report, now I will give a try with reduced particles…

No, again BlackScreen.
The difference:
First I’ve thrown some CBU’s without TGP. No BlackScreen…
Then some GBU’s with TGP. BlackScreen…full and freezed!

I think the sim got to be too hard for my poor HD-7770!

BTW: Do I had also a FPS drop with 4.3.2 and with TGP…? I’m asking because I never noticed it…

EDIT-3---------------------------------------
With weather ‘fair’ and min. clouds and with TGP, I get “only” a 2sec. BlackScreen.
Result: Maybe I can find a setting with (ultra-)minimal settings…
I think, else there is no way around for a new graphic card, because my HD-7770 is already OC until “under the roof”.

Hi,

to get an overview…a new post.

What have I done:
In the F-BMS Config:
Post-Processing-Effects->
HDR Lightning = off
Jet Heat = off

Now FPS without TGP ~50FPS
With TGP ~36FPS

BlackScreen occurs when:
Bombs explode and TGP is on, always…, and ~2sec. then the screen gets a reset.
EDIT:
Short before the BlackScreen i could saw some little light grey colored squares in the upper left quarter of the screen! (I guess 10 pieces in 10*10px, or so…)

No BlackScreen when:
Bombs explode and no TGP is on,…always.

(The last I could read, before the BlackScreen, was 88FPS in sat view…)

Any ideas?

EDIT:
OK, I tried some more!

Using a GBU with using TGP, or not (per CCIP) = BlackScreen after the first bomb explodes. (2sec, then screen gets refreshed)

Using any other type of bomb, even with TGP, no BlackScreen!

Using e.g. a AGM-65-g, also *no BlakScreen.

I wanted to try, to remove before takeoff theTGP while GBU’s loaded, to see what happens, but that is not possible…

Any ideas?
