Sorry for the newbness but can someone post a step by step on what to do to install this. I had a look at Janhas’ instructions but it still assumes that you’re familiar with the LODeditor.

I do have a general LOD install manual, send me an e-mail.
Edit: A manual for replacing models in general. Installing the trees is same procedure. Te data edit in parent screen is clearly explained.

It covers changing a existing model with a new one. But it’s only the lodeditor stuff.
But it’s still great for beginners. There was a good howto for new models/weapons inside the wiki of tactical necromantix. -
The LODs to repleace have the name TREE CT# 864 for Forest lods and TREE CT# 863 for Tree line lods
Example:
TREE LINE
Search and select CT# 863 “TREE”
Push “Normal” in the Parents section (right-down corner)
Change the value like the Tree_Line_parent_data.jpg
Push UPDATE and push the “Edit Mode” button until you have the “Replace Mode” button.
Now, look down, you have the “LOD Indexes” section and you can see the “1” “2” & “3” buttons.
“1” = chose Tree_Line_LOD1.lod and go on in that way….
For finish press UPDATE button againThe same for FOREST but now chose CT # 864

611-Eagle integrated into my DB the trees. They are looking nice, but FPS hit is very big, even I do not use any shadow and most of shaders are turned off. In an empty TE on end of runway on Kunsan AB with stock BMS4 trees FPS is about 77-80 with your trees is about 50. Yes, the LOD distances were set accordingly to your guide. I can try set lower values but I do not expect too much.

I’m just wonder if it’s possible to create a forest textures like in IL2 Sturmovik and implement it to the BMS.
This pictures will give you an idea of what I mean:And view from higher altitude
It’s possible ?

As I know such textures should be linked to an object, therefore it is very hard to make, it requires tweak all maps.

In the first days of BMS 4.32, there was an “how to import propely you theater for 3d party theater builders” there was a dream hidden in there…
Trees an bushes activated by the “area” defined in texture bin on the tiles, it was announced as an “incoming” feature (or eyecandy your choice) but noone knows about it!
