Mitsubishi F-2 skins: Released!

These skins are for the F-16C Block 40 and replace one of the AV skins, and both of the HL skins. (Copy of these instructions included in .rar file)

Installation:

1. In your X:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj backup your .dds textures 2684 through 2710.

2. Copy and paste all 27 .dds files 2684 through 2710 into your X:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj and overwrite.

Skin info:

The three skins are based off of three real JASDF Mitsubishi F-2s. Due to the size difference between the larger F-2 and the F-16, it is more of a modified F-2 skin as some details would not fit.

Aircraft #43-8525 is an F-2A from the 6th Tactical Fighter Squadron based out of Tsuiki AB.

Aircraft #13-8514 is another F-2A from the 6th TFS, but has an image of the Grim Reaper on the tail. This was either an anniversary paint scheme or a scheme for a tactical air meet. Haven’t found enough information on it. The Japanese phrase at the top of the tail fin literally reads “see enemy certain kill”, which somehow translates to “search and destroy”.

Aircraft #43-8126 was a two seat F-2B from the 21st Fighter Training Squadron based out of Matsushima AB, and has the image of a Samurai on its tail for the 21st FTS’s 30th anniversary. The aircraft unfortunately crashed on takeoff after maintenace in Nagoya. Both crew survived. The Samurai image is that of Date Masamune (1567-1636), a powerful lord in the Northeastern (Tohoku) region of Japan.

*bold number corrected; instructions say “2680” but it should be 2684.
