CMS callbacks

Trying to get my CH HOTAS setup as close to IRL as possible. In the Manuals i see that ECM with CMS right has ….semi from auto & CMS down has …semi/auto consent what does these do and do they work?
Oh and question about the paddle switch its only function is to disengage AP?

CMS semi/auto works on the consent system. The idea is that if the system detects a threat to which it thinks countermeasures should be deployed it asks. “Counter” If you give it permission then it dispenses as long as that threat continues. In semi you have to give permission for each threat but it’ll repeat for the duration of a threat. In auto it remembers consent and just dispenses on threat. The jammer also works on these two buttons. Down gives permission (jammer enabled) and right takes it away (jammer disabled).
I really like the SEMI mode as I get to choose if I really want to dispense but it will loop as long as needed that time (so the programs can be quite short). AUTO is a good idea when seconds matter and this is some high threat one pass super ninja attack.
Yes AP paddle is only to disconnect any automatic control (TFR, autopilot) while held.

it also disables inputs from the guy in back, in a two seater (or the front seat guy, depending on the position of the control switch).
Of course, in BMS our two seater GIBs never touch the stick anyway, so it doesnt matter XD
