Every F/A-18 flight is given the exact same callsign.

Hi guys,
For some strange reason in my Carrier War Theater campaign, every single F-18 flight (from every squadron on the carrier) is given the same callsign of Hornet 9 or Sting 9. I would be ok with this if each flight was scheduled for different times but they are not.
I’ve tried to fix this by…
Using mission commander by changing the callsign of each flight which does work, until new flights are fragged by HQ and the same thing happens.
Deleting the squadrons and remaking them. After a while the same thing happens.
Deleting the carrier task force and create a new one including new squadrons.
Frag my own flights manually but every flight in a package is still Hornet 9. (see screenshot)
Is there a way to add more callsigns for a squadron / aircraft to use?
Here is an example of the issue, I created a random package as a test.

I started a new campaign ‘Iron Fortress’ in carrier war and left it to sim on x64 and the same thing happened. After a few hours campaign time all flight are called Hornet 9.
I’m now playing on the Balkans ‘Under Siege’ campaign to see if it happens there.
Is there a way to add more callsigns to the F18’s in any of the files, instead of only Hornet and Sting?

Just saying, x64 isn’t recommended.

To be able to run the 64-bit version of BMS 4.33 you obviously need a 64-bit operating system.At the time of writing this manual Windows 7 x64 is still probably the best choice of operating system for BMS.

This issue has been around since 4.32. I just went into MC to edit the callsigns for my own package.

Yea I did. My OS is 64bit and I am running 64bit client (irrelevant to my problem)
My problem is every F/A-18 flight after a certain point in the campaign is called Hornet 9, regardless if its fragged by me or HQ.
The reason I said x64 in my previous post was because I was referring to simming a new campaign at x64 speed to see if my problem happened again and it did.
So, my question is there a way to assign more, already existing callsigns (such as ‘Weasel’ ‘Lobo’ etc…) to the F/A-18.

Yea, I’m ok with using MC occasionally but it gets to the point were every flight from every F/A-18 squadron is called Hornet 9. MC temporally fixes the problem until more flights are fragged. It seems that the game is ignoring all other callsigns (Hornet 1…8 Sting 1…9)

I read somewhere that bad things happen beyond 8x time compression… Don’t go over 8x…

I don’t think its anything to do with time compression. If I delete all flights from every F18 squadron and then frag my own packages, every flight will be named ‘Hornet 9’ sometimes ‘Sting 9’. The game is ignoring all numbers 1-8 for both Sting and Hornet.
I’m wondering if there is a way to edit the list of callsigns given to an aircraft type. For example, the F16 has Viper ,Lobo, Serpent, Weasel, Stud etc…
Looking at the callsign box in MC there are maybe 100-150 different callsigns in the game assigned to different aircraft. Most of these would never be used for allied flights.
An example would be to take ‘Ragdoll’, ‘Charger’, ‘Magnet’ (which from my MC flights page are used in J-7 flights) and add it to the list of possible callsigns for the F-18’s
There must be a callsign file I can edit somewhere right?

Carrier war. I don’t think its anything to do with the theater but to do with the lack of callsigns for the F18 which causes the game to get confused when there too many squadrons. (I think)

Yes, there are only two callsigns assigned to the F18’s, Hornet and Sting, that’s a code thing. So having 11 F18 Squadrons it’s gonna reassign the same number to multiple flights that are taking place.
There is a file you can edit but it won’t work, it has to be done code wise.(Adding more callsigns to the F18’s)
And yes, it has nothing to do with time compression, I tested it with all the time settings and its the same. Just a lack of callsigns assigned to the F18’s.

How are you gonna permanently assign “Ragdoll” to the F18’s if its a code thing??
You could replace Ragdoll for Sting or Hornet, but that won’t solve the problem.

Wait so code wise the F18 can only have a total of 2 callsigns?

YES.
Try it out, even if it takes for a few flights, it will revert to Sting and Hornet.
