@ The BMS team

Happy new year and best wishes to anyone reading this post!
I would like to say thank you to the BMS team for the public release of 4.33
I, as an user, i can not know what type of work or how many hours were needed for my personal enjoyment, but i know for a fact that you guys did an incredible job at simulating something bigger than just an airplane.
4.33, is something exceptional as 4.32 was, but 4.33 is the touch that was missing from 4.32.
Weather by itself is just woaw ! …. with tools like WC, BMS weather system is very powerful and allows for some very spectacular moments both visually and emotionally. It also adds to the decision process during mission planning, it now really impacts your choice of flight profile and the type of weapons you will carry. There are too many improvements related to weather for me to enunciate them all, but it is really a big big improvement. Aviation sim without a weather system, has something missing, a big thank you for that !!!
The F-16 and the different avionics … i want to fly them all, but i want to master one specific block and here is where it gets interesting. A big part of the BMS flyers are relating to the Block flown in them their respective country, and as per thus, it is now (more than ever) possible to really simulate events like TLP’s or other type of exercices and actually use one type of block/version instead of another for a particular role.
Each block/version/variant has now differences which brings out strengths our weaknesses, and gives TE planners many options but one best choice for a particular mission based on avionics capabilities and weapons carried. For example, my squadron uses the Belgian MLU, we have the CARAPACE system installed, the Danish have another system installed, which gives us a different capability.
The weapon systems being modeled is just awesome, thank you for the GBU-54 … solves a lot of headaches in regards to what load to carry especially on the MLU were Belgium has not yet decided to buy BRU-55’s/57’s … now with the correct modelling of GBU-54 we can save ourselves from having a different bomb (GBU-12 or 38) under each wing.
Also thank you for a better drag model, now TGP ads drag and you can also “feel” its weight .
Visually, BMS never looked so good, and i always found that BMS has it’s own style, which i like to preserve by adding non-external BMS mods … the F-16 3D model is really beautiful to me, and really satisfies my eyes. Canopy is beautiful
!!!
The nw 3D models are really beautiful, and really do fit with the general BMS style !! Visually it is a pleasure, as well as tactically. I noticed many changes with the SAM behavior, and the threats are more lethal, SA-2 … is no longer the “douche” of all SAM’s, even if outdated it is now becoming a threat, even if some are not satisfied with whatever has to do with the SAM environment, i find that for myself, i am challenged, and this is enough for me.
The refueling has become harder, but more realistic in regards to how you have to manage your airspeed, and therefore more gratifying than ever in Falcon/BMS history.
Immersion wise, we are at it now, trees and grass just change the whole Korean Theater at low level, i am rediscovering Korea now … the new tiles make me feel i never BMS Korea before.
For TE planners wanting to include AI in their game plan, thank you for the holding function !!! saves me a lot of headaches and gives me a more realistic mission flow during my TE’s. I see a lot of improvement in AI’s behavior, easier to manage those guys … they are now much closer to being a wing-man as before where you were wondering if they were not just there to piss you off.
Thank you for the continuous development of support software’s like MC, WDP, WC which add to the capabilities of the SIM. I mean we have tools for mission planning that give us the possibility to get the best out of BMS.
Thank you for the documentation, time was taken to make it readable by people who have no experience with aviation, taking you step by step, saves us a lot of time for instruction in virtual squadron. And also allows people with more experience than myself, to consolidate basics or learn how to do stuff in a way that proven to work.
Thank you for the work done guys, thank you for the patience, thank you for the willingness of your team to share your work and your dreams. I wish our community a lot of happy landings and many more good experiences behind our computer screens or inside our home build cockpits.
The “Stingers” salute you, we may be very discrete and very few pilots (you can really say that) but we really do enjoy your work.
Spooky out !
EDIT: i have for sure forgotten stuff, for example the carrier ops, i do not use it, but i can only applaud the work done there too … this side of Falcon did not exist before and you guys just created it.

Nice post Spooky. I feel much the same. I’ve put more time behind the joystick since 4.33 came out less than two months ago than I have the 2 years preceding.
