You might like to try over at ViperPits . They’ve solved this and much more and are a good source of information.

This double image is called “ghosting” and is caused by the double image reflected back to the eye. Because of the angle the images hits the glass and the internal reflection splits the light into two images.
This is solved by using glass with a anti reflective coating, which is why you should never scratch or use strong cleaners on car windshields with HUDs. It’s also what is used on teleprompters. You can google and buy TelePrompter glass and use that in your sim HUD frame.

You need a glass with the lowest index of refraction you can find…like a quartz glass. Which will be very very expensive…so barring that, you need to find a coating that will balance transmission and reflection to minimize the visibility of any ghosting.
I’m working on a working HUD myself…but I haven’t actually gotten around to building one for my pit project yet. As suggested, lots of input and info on the ViperPits forums.

@ramazoti hey i might be too late now but still, where did u get the combined glass? I tried to build the hud with a normal glass and it didnt work, can u help?

One of the best things to use for making a working HUD is teleprompter glass. Several people on Viperpits have done this, and I’m planning to (unless I can find a real one, or get hold of a commercial combiner). This company will even cut a trapezoidal shape for you -
