Look at this thread I wrote describing how to install GOG Falcon 4 and get BMS working.

RE: RWR blind spot(s), or SU-27 FCR issue?
But if you notice in the video, the -27 was splashed 8 seconds before the first R-27 impact and 12 seconds before the second. There’s no way a SARH R-27 would have continued to track and splash OP’s -16 after being hit by that slammer. Well, I guess it’s possible the radar continued tracking even as the pilot was ejecting, but that seems odd. EDIT: It seems the lock was maintained after the slammer hit, but if you look closely, the radar lock drops seconds before the second R-27 impact, yet the missile still guided on the OP’s -16.
OP: is it possible those were R-27T models?
I’ll start this by saying that I haven’t watched the clip so what I’m saying might not be true in this particular case but …
It is quite possible to be hit by a SARH missile after it loses tracking. The missile will continue to fly a ballistic course, just like a really large, slow bullet. If you don’t manoeuvre and the missiles intercept solution was good then you are getting hit.

RE: Cougar TQS can it be used with Warthog Joystick..
The Cougar TQS needs to be connected through the Courgar SSC to work “out of the box”. I ran like that for several years with the Cougar stick sat behind my monitor (bit of an arse ache to calibrate sat there though). Later I got a TUSBA from Real Simulations so I could get rid of the Cougar Stick.
Word of warning though. If you use TARGET (I don’t) then using a TUSBA will make it imposible to program the TQS using TARGET.
I see you also posted this in the Cougar section of the forums. PLease don’t do that as I’ve wasted my time telling you stuff that others have already told you!!!

RE: IVC UHF in Left Ear VHF in Right ear
Pretty sure you can’t do this in BMS … to do it IRL the radio would need to be able to output a radio channel independently to each earphone. Pretty sure it can’t be done in the F-16. Afterall you are monitoring 3 different Radio frequencies in the F-16, UHF, VHF & Guard.
Having done this in the Army, monitoring 2 different radio nets at the same time I can also say that it can be quite difficult especially if you get simultaneous transmissions.

RE: Navigation and Communication bug?
I stand corrected … to be honest, I forgot the wind speed and direction is displayed on the home DED page

RE: Navigation and Communication bug?
The first part is relatively easy to answer … winds aloft. Your nose is pointing to the left of your track due to a sidewind from the right. The second I am guessing but, you called Kimpo using UHF but you are nearer to Hyon so got the answer from them. Radio range is sorta modelled now and those blasted North Koreans are using the same UHF Freq. as Kimpo.
Try getting closer to Kimpo before contacted them … if you were close then I don’t know. Maybe a bit of North Korean Signals Warfare.

RE: Anyplace to buy a cougar?
Vary your search terms is another tip. Think how folks may misspell the name, include the description when searching, think what folks might call the HOTAS system other than it’s correct name. Searching for a flight control system that has been out of production for a decade takes patients and perserverance.

RE: Confusing manuals for new players - where to start from?
Can I just interject a point here: I have never understood folks who have an issue in BMS and try to source an answer using the AF or original Falcon 4 manuals. That’s like trying to fix your BMW using a manual for a Ford. Yes, they are both Cars and derive from the same root but they are totally different. The same is true of BMS; AF is on a totally different developement tree and so at best is a Cousin to BMS. Falcon 4 is like the Grand Parent to both. But as such the chances of getting a solution to a BMS problem (learning oppotunity) from these other manuals is slim to non-existent.
The current BMS manuals are by far the best BMS manuals that have existed for BMS. Whilst not perfect (show me a manual that is) they are a work in progress and can only improve. If you find something you think is wrong then post it in the Documentation area of the forums. There it will either be explained or noted to be included in the next version of the documents, usually with a thanks from the authors.

RE: Laptop + More RAM= Worth it?
Remember unless you are using a 64bit operating system more than 4GB RAM is a waste of money as your OS can’t use it.

RE: My stalled F/A - 18
Not only it has its own flight model but it has its own FLCS as well
And this will be improved in 3 to 4 weeks
I stand corrected …
