Oh, no!.. That couldn’t be real… Please tell us it’s some kind of a fake, pre-arranged, utterly stupid reality show, not a TV quiz…

In regards to the number of aircraft in theater, you’re right. In ODS over 2400 were in theater, so with each aircraft flying around one sortie per day, there would still be more activity than we have in the sim.
IIRC the Korean Theater in BMS is a 1:5 scale map model of the real thing. if it’s incorrect, please let me know

IIRC the Korean Theater in BMS is a 1:5 scale map model of the real thing. Been flying Falcon for years, can’t remember where that bit stuck from - if it’s incorrect, please let me know. If it is correct, which it seems to be based on the time it takes to fly from one end of the KTO to the other vs. the distance shown on google maps of Korea, then this means quite a lot for numbers being quoted from the sim to real life operations, with time being a major factor. So, to cover a warzone with purposeful missions would require less aircraft, munition, and time to achieve.
out of curiosity created by your 1:5 scale statement I compared a couple of distances measuerd with the map ruler tool of BMS and google earth. They are almost identical…
Somewhere i read that BMS does not deal with spherical coordinates, but at the scale of Korean map (not being a worldwide theater) the error is really small.
So IMHO the Korea theater is an accurate 1:1 scale theater.

!?!???

Indeed completely incorrect.
Max differences is not more than 20Nm due to projection (means about less than 3% error).

It was wise of the original F4 staffs to choose Korea for the main theatre of the sim.
We do not have to have a long cruise time to the frontline, and also notice how DPRK threaten Korea…
You may notice it will take so long cruise time when you start balkan theatre. Also try reading A-6 HYPER-ACTION in Original Falcon 4.0 Manual.
Its not scale map but increasing activity which is making Dynamic Campaign in F4 practical and with purposeful missions.
