What am I missing after typing coordinates?
-
Hi!
I followed instruction on page 101 of BMS-Training.pdf today. That is a part of MISSION 11: LASER GUIDED BOMBS.
I typed N37°48.440’ E126°14.768’ and hit “Enter” button. The longitude E126°14.768 backs to E126°14.767.
I tried many times. The coordinate keeps back. Would you tell me what I am missing here?
Why it keep changing? -
Have you entered before coordinates the 2 (ICP N) and 6 (ICP E)?
-
obviously he did, otherwise he wouldn’t even be able to hit enter
I don’t see any issue here except for a minor round up.
Have you any idea how distant is .768 to .767 is ?
1° =60 Nm on longitude (great circles)
1’ = 1Nm
0.001 ’ = 0.001 Nm
It’s about 2 meter.
I think the frag patern of the bomb is way more than thatDoes this imprecision prevent you from finding the right target with your SPI?
I’d say no. It’s just a tiny tiny detail which has no impact.
I have no idea why it’s rounded up but IMHO it has no real consequences in the sim. -

Why it keep changing?Sometimes this happens, no wrong action by you. Don’t worry, when you have only +/- 1 and only at your last digit it is super safe.

Thanks guys for explanation. I thought I did something wrong. Is this happening in real life? or a kind of bug?
