Kc-135 director lights in real life ?
-
Hi Guys,
I have just tried refueling in dcs,
I find their kc-135 director lights are very hard to see especially the right ones.
In bms these lights are very clear. So I wonder which sim is more correct compared to the real kc-135 lights in real life refueling?
Are these lights really hard to see? -
different tanker models
different lighning modelling
different aicraft positionOtherwise google is your friend, so you can compare real life with both sims: https://www.google.ch/search?q=kc+135&rlz=1C1ASVA_enCH652CH652&espv=2&biw=2844&bih=1457&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiV-PGZndvQAhXEDSwKHaI7DCQQ_AUIBigB#tbm=isch&q=kc+135+refueling+lights&imgrc=dbapo7vvijbszM%3A

Hard to see most of the time, possibly/probably cause they’re old as hell?

They also have adjustable brightness. Most boom operators keep them low so as not to wash out the receiver pilot’s night vision (Natural night vision, not goggles) and only brighten the lights at the pilot’s request.
