Hi Ikaros team.First of all thanks a lot for your efforts.I downloaded and tried it.I had some bugs. One of this is pilot’ s body.Pilot’s body hampers seeing of left and right back of panels in 2D and 3D vision.Unfortunately ı dont have 3 -D Glasses. Other, taxi ways.Resolation of taxi ways are not the same as runways.it seems blurry. Another is airbase oproaching charts.I dont find charts in docs file. And last one, ı wonder when campaigns will come out. Best Regards.

Hello everyone, greetings from Turkey!
As you can see at the video terrain textures are surging. I saw that problem couple times usually near the seaside and airports. I can give you coordinates if it’s necessary for fix.
I just downloaded Ikaros 4.0.0 and get faced with some bugs and texture problems.Savaş
I had the same problem and its not from the theater but from the graphics card. For me setting ‘‘Texture Filtering Quality’’ from quality to performance solved the problem on my AMD card.

Last, by default the pilot’s body & legs are depicted within cockpit. If you want to remove them, go to C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Art\ckptart, select the F-16 folder from your F-16, open 3dckpit.dat and select cockpithudmodel 4; For more details, read Ikaros Models (Raptor).xlsx (C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Docs\Notes).
Airbases
Currently, three (3) Airbases were created from scratch (Souda AB, Nea Anchialos AB, Andravida AB). The rest A/B are either customized from the previous versions or the stock Korean ones. In future versions we will create all 88 A/B (from small airstrips to big airports) hand by hand. That is, each airport will have its unique appearance. The good news is that this process will not take a huge amount of time. Currently, we are working on new 3D models which will populate the aforementioned airbases.Also dont forget its still a WIP.

The second one, When i add a package like “2 Ship F16CTM Block 50 192nd Sq.” the result is like that
Hi. We did that on purpose in order to diversify flights. The training DB (that’s the name for it) will have a mixture of C and D models. Go to C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Docs\Notes and open Ikaros Models (Raptor).xlsx. There, go to Training DB tab and check the different combo between C and D models.
Also check the changelog. In future we might abolish this concept or we might keep two different DBs. One training and one operational.
The third one is about Turkish F16 Skins…
I couldn’t check it for all D models but here is the problem:I can’t reproduce it, so I can’t help right now.
The fourth one, i hosted and other pilots connected well but when some of us press the loadout button sim get crashed. We cant set loadout.

I assume you are referring to turkish airbases. Three Airbases were made from scratch (Souda AB, Andravida AB, Nea Anchialos AB). The rest (including all the turkish) are old customized ones. That means that in the upcoming releases, these Airbases will be removed and will be created from scratch like the aforementioned three ones.
You can go to C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Docs\Notes and check the .xls below to see details about the Airbases.

D models have a blank point near the canopy…Could you please tell us which exactly model?

As Mystic said without the crashlog it’s hard to spot the problem
These are my first impressions hope you can fix theme at next update, thanks for your effort guys.

Current Ikaros DB contains only 1 “version”, the TRAINING one, this is also displayed in the bottom right part on the main UI screen. By “training db” we wanted to have mixtures of C & D models in a flight package (as and with/without CFTs if Block available), representing real ops and simulating real squadron available assets. Please not that this “approach” is under test/evaluation. There ARE some known issues, but we kindly expect from the theater funs to shoot us with bugs and issues of potential bugs we haven’t discovered yet and potentially might be a future feature no-go. In the next release will be another DB “version”, named OPERATIONAL, both selectable through F4Patch. This version will have the aircrafts as appropriate, all sq assets to be the same model.
@731-Savas, thank you for your kind words and testing our product. Except the above that apply for your q’s, about Turkish Vipers, most C platform models are ok for now. Most D models are wrong: Since there were no published models from JanHas before, I’ve quickly used available models with quick skin updates just to create the DB records, that’s why you see errors, black parts, even model differences (chutes, hud types, ashm, etc.) All are known, no bugs there. In the near future JanHas will kindly provide new high-detailed LV3 Viper models for all HAF & THK assets, these will be included in future Ikaros releases as they become available.
I suspect that the crash you encourage with the weapons loading crash might be logical, as an extent of the training db implementation. The TE creator IS responsible for loading the weapons on the flight package during TE design, with the knowledge in mind (advising the sq-layout excel) of what member is what C, D, wCFT or not. If MP players try to change their #2/3/4 flight position weapons, it might crash, we haven’t tested this atm, but we will test.

Suggestion since we use military tacan stations i think is it better to update the ppt.ini with NAVAID ID e,g
Airport IRAKLION IRA for VOR-DME(now we have only the IRA in ppt.ini)

all 3 crashes seem to have an issue with this:
While Drawing LOD 7837 (this may only be a coincidence if the call stack is not the LOD drawing code)
This is the AN/AWW-9 CT# 2718
This is the default one from BMS Korea stock database.
Maybe BMS dev’s are more appropriate to look in to it.
Could you test it in vanila BMS Korea and if it does the same maybe you found a bug, and you should report it. -
The AN/AWW-9 pod works fine with all THK F-16s, except the BLK50+. Here we have ctd indeed. We will take a look.

Known issue, that will give the CTD. Will e fixed with LV3 Viper versions.

Firstly, many thanks to the whole team for the great work done.
I take the image you posted before Manos. At the bottom you see Souda’s base, but it looks double. On the one hand, the terrain texture of Google Maps, and on the other hand the 3D objects that make up the base BMS.
This only appears to me if I fly in campaign (Operation NIKIFOROS with squadrons and battalions added with MC). However, if I create a TACTICAL, that leaves Souda, the 3D objects of BMS match the texture of the terrain and you only see a base ….
What can be the problem?

Hi Fresco. As we said before, campaigns are not playable yet. They will be in the next release. So, ignore them for now. Use only Tactical Engagement in the Ikaros settings.exe
The mismatch you described above, stems from the fact that just prior to release, the photoreal texture of Souda AB was moved, along with the Souda AB. This is the te_new.tac file. Problem is that we did not make the same change in the save0.cam files of the campaigns.

Please check the UHF tower frequency on SOUDA to in Navaids List.pdf IS 363.00 inside cockpit knee board is 343.00 error kneeboard 5866.dds
also check that if you have response from tower in both frequencies
i check the UHF in kasteli tower and the tower is ok
In Souda when you put the UHF 363.00 there is no response can you reproduce? fixed
All OK with tower frequencies i reinstall the Ikaros and now all are ok!!!
please check the 5866.dds kneeboard the souda tower VHF have the 343.00 frequency please update the dds with correct frequences

I don’t see my jet’s taxi light on the Souda taxiways. It displays fine on the runway (29R) though.
I checked the lighting settings and it’s set to per-pixel lighting.
In a TE I created and just tested, my plane exploded shortly after takeoff from Souda at 250 kts or so, gear was up, altitude around 2,000 I think, 5 degs nose up. (F16-D 52 - 343c)
It looks like I was downed by a NATO-owned Patriot battalion I put on Souda:

In Tactical Engagement, all participants (flags) are at war with each other. TACs are not campaigns to set different relations.

True they are not campaigns. But you can change the relations/owner of any unit you place in a Tactical Engagement.
@hoover, when you place the Patriot(or any ground/sea unit) on the map at Souda it will be Hellas/Blue, but you still need to change the ownership to Hellas, and save the TE.
I replicated your TE and the Patriot did not shoot me down because I changed the ownership(so I didn’t blow up!!). The first time I flew it, I went from takeoff and the taxi light was on. The second time I flew it, I went from taxiway and the taxi light was not on, not on the taxiway or the runway, but the AI’s was.
