Missing info about some FCR symbols

Is that in CRM mode?

Is this not in the BMS -34? It should be.
The blue < is the Antenna Reaquisition Symbol. Basically shows you where the target was last seen (what elevation anyway).
1.9.13.2.4 Reacquisition Elevation Symbol. The reacquisition elevation symbol is displayed on the left side of the MFD for 10 seconds after track is lost. The position of the marker on the antenna elevation scale indicates the antenna elevation angle at
loss of track. Antenna elevation can then be quickly set to the last tracked target elevation by rotating the antenna elevation (ANT ELEV) knob on the throttle until the antenna elevation matches the last tracked target elevation.Naming convention seems to differ between the diagram of symbols and the description of functionality. Not sure why.
The horizontal Y symbol on the right of the display is the tracker blanker. Its not actually implemented in BMS, so you can safely ignore it. In the real aircraft, its used to blank out the solid line of contacts from the ground return.
1.9.13.2.7 Altitude Line Tracker/Blanker. For RWS, ACM, or TWS, the altitude line tracker/blanker will blank all targets which are detected at the range of the altitude line. With the tracker/blanker on, the range being blanked is indicated by the position of the horizontal Y-symbol along the range scale. If the tracker/blanker is not selected, the symbol will not be displayed. If the altitude line return is not available, the symbol will be displayed at a fixed position near the top of the range scale.
Finally, you assume correctly about the ruler. Its the Quarter Mile Scale Reference - 1500 ft, like you surmised.
1.9.16.3.19 Quarter Mile Scale Reference. In any of the expanded field-of-view options including DBS 1 and DBS 2, a horizontal line is displayed in the upper left-hand corner of the display to indicate a length of one-quarter mile (1500 feet).

AG radar |____| symbol : this is a “quarter-mile” reference, for scaling in the AG radar when in DBS1 & 2.
White > on the right of FCR AA format : it is an altitude line tracker. In the real jet, side lobe from the antenna beam might hit the ground and report false positive with a range equal to the altitude, so there is a filter in the FCR (not simulated in BMS) to prevent that. The downside is that a valid radar echo at that range might be blanked as well, so the altitude tracker is here to let you know that echo blanking might happen at that range.
Blue < on the left of FCR AA format : it is a reacquisition elevation marker. If a FCR bugged target is dropped (for whatever reason), the reacq marker let you know what was the contact estimated elevation, so that you can rescan at this area if you want to.

And in EXP as well.
White > on the right of FCR AA format : it is an altitude line tracker.
The white > is the range cue, the horizontal Y (looks sorta like >- I guess) is the tracker blanker.

I will add to the next version of the FCR manual.

Thanks for the repplies! I just found info about the quarter-mile line on the F4AF manual after looking for “quarter” (I tried looking for “1500”, but it’s written as “1,500” ) I use it to estimate bomb dispersion when dropping single trains of CBUs in CCRP.
I also found info about the Reacquisition Symbol on the F4AF manual, but only after specifically looking for it.
Definitely no info at all about any of those symbols on the -34 manuals -

Husesudo - hopefully a lot is in here. The Altitude Blanker is not (at present). However it might answer some of your other questions. https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?28451-FCR-Manual-DRAFT

Thank you very much! I’ll take a good look at those

I’m using the manuals at my BMS 4.33.3 docs folder, TO-BMS1F-16CM-1.pdf and TO-BMS1F-16CM-34-1-1.pdf
