Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
-
After a few flights using the IVC Functions, I found it a bit of a pain in the ass to access the comms where they are currently programmed on the Throttle Hat+Pinkie . I found that I tend to use Comms ALOT more than CMS functions (ECM/Decoys). I am torn about whether or not to switch out the Comms switch (throttle hat+pinkie) with the CMS switch(throttle hat).
If I do the switch, it will make reaction times a little slower for CMS functions(Jammer/Chaff/Flare), on the other hand, comms will be much easier to access.
Suggestions?
-
Made the switchā¦.
CMS is now Primary+Pinkie.
Comms are now Primary.
-
Added Scroll Lock (TS2 PTT) to UHF Comm 1 for convenience.
Note: If you are going to fly using IVC, remember to mute your mic in TS2, (or whatever you use), otherwise, your flight will hear your voice from 2 sources.

Hereās my X52 (non-pro) profile if anyone wants to try. Itās more functional than realistic.
Cheers

I dont mind your profile being posted here, but I doubt many people will find it, as they are not likely to read past the first page where the my download link is posted.

Over the last few days, I have spent ALOT more time flying with this profile. I have noticed a couple issues that I pop up occasionally. Hopefully someone more experienced can help me identify the cause. I havenāt quite been able to put my finger on it. I think it just may be that I am executing inputs too rapidly, but I am not sure. I want to have this profile 100% rock solid reliable for the people who download it and use it, but my experience in programming is VERY limited, so I could use some help, if at all possible.
The 2 main issues I have noticed areā¦
- Speed Brakes Close function getting hung upā¦.the only remedy I have found is to leave the slider in the Closed position and hold down the shift(pinky) button until they close.
- Zoom function on mousewheel+pinky will sometimes start adjusting the altimeter. Not sure about a remedy for this one, I just kept messing with it and it reverted back to working properly.

Downloading it now to test it out.

Youāre delusional HD!
The functions of those two issues work properly. Multiple tries without a problem here. Also, I checked your binds out in the profiler and theyāre legit as well.
-
Lol!
I should have mentioned, these issues have occured maybe 3 times in 6 hours of flight.
Thanks for checking.:-)

Hard~Deckā¦ I have it all downloaded thanks to you and I wish I had had the time to actually fly utilizing it. I am going to try to download it all to my laptop so I have it at least. I will be home in Feb and will need some āinstructorā time and plan on bringing by controllers back with me at least to fly the game since I canāt port fwd here. Thanks for all your help once again. Hope all is well and I will call ya soon from here.

great callsign!

Hey HD, I would get rid of the CMS slap function on the stick and make it a normal Chaff/Flare dispense, mode dependant of course.
-
Changes in this updateā¦.
- Mapped everything (almost) in Primary direct in-game.
- Swapped out the CMS functions on the throttle hat in favor of CMDS and EWS Program switches
- Replaced slap-switch with chaff/flare button
- Jammer is now C+Pinky (chaff/flare shifted)
- Added rudder trim controls
- Seperated R-OSB1 & R-OSB2. (It was the causing the zoom feature to change over to HSI control and the speed brakes to hang up.
I am hoping, (and praying), that this will be my final update of this profile.
I believe I have all the bugs worked out. -
Well, looks like I am going to have to update yet again. I just flew a BAI with GQTexas and the zoom in/out issue has reared its ugly head againā¦:-(
This time around it switches to flipping the ILS knob. It shouldnt be too hard to find the cause, hopefully I can find some time to track it down over the next few days.
Bed timeā¦I am out!
-
What a relief!
While flying with GQTexas last night, he pointed out that if you hover your mouse cursor over any knob or switch in the pit and turn the mouse wheel, it will turn or turn or cycle each.
So, the problem I was descibing in my last post was, whenever I would go heads down to look at my mfdās or what not, if the mouse cursor was hovered over a switch or a knob, when I would then look up and try to use the zoom function, (which is the same as turning the mousewheel) it would start flipping whichever switch it was on before I looked up instead of zooming in.So the problem isnāt neccessarily a problem as long as the user is aware of that function.
Does any one know if there is a way to disable the switch toggle function of the mouse cursor?

Thank you sir, Iām an IT student and I donāt have much time to waste programming, this was really a time saver.

Excactly what I was hoping to hearā¦:-)

Many thanks and much obliged Hard-Deck.
It warms my heart to see that you can still get something so useful from the community.
Your hours of effort are MUCH appreciated.
cheers mate.

I had to switch out comms and TrackIR keybinds so as not to interfere with the IVC keybinds, (I just became aware of them tonight),
I will be posting up an updated download soon.

I reassigned most of the keys to single keys in the game, saved the file (ronbms), then created the profile. attāed are the key file(ronbms), profile(.pro)and my āgougeā sheet.Works real good. Now having said that, I also have a CH MFP which is set for all MFD buttons( left and right MFD) + 5 extra buttons( see gouge sheet"). Also have CH rudders with toe brakes. Could not attatch all file due to file type requirments. On gouge sheet the āredā are the āpinlieā + key. If anyone wishes files PM me with e address.
