KEYSPEECH PROFILES- FOR ALL CALLSIGNS!!!!
-
Yes, there is “push to talk enabled” and “push to talk disabled” when I talk first time, but when I try second time, there is only “push to talk enabled” and after that no changes in logfile.
There is also long delay in hotkey press as I try it in BMS or in Foxy key test. It keeps key pressed 3-4 seconds after button release. This happens only when Keyspeech is enabled. -
@Metso77 Do you have the same behavior if you run KeySpeech only and using keyboard keys ? What is your OS ? I don’t know if somebody has Foxy here …
Now may you check without command line (-d, default shortcut) and KeySpeech only with Notepad or with Voice Command Tester On.

Yes, same behaviour with keyboard. Hotkey works normally until I’ve talked first time, after that delay occurs. When I exit Keyspeech, behaviour returns normal again.
I’ve programmed Hotas Cougar buttons with Foxy. My OS is WIN7 Home Premium 64bit. -

I’m using jcenzano’s profile from the first post of this thread and haven’t made any changes for it. I’ve used several different commands for testing and result is same.
I don’t think that problem is in profile but between my system and Keyspeech. -
Keyspeech works great……but…
during speaking in Falcon BMS it happens a lot that there is a switchback to desktop because windows speech recognition is acting on commands that steer windows menu’s.
How can i prevent this ???
Thanks allready

Sorry, but I don’t quite understand what your problem is.
Never happened to me…
Once in a blue moon falcon gets the ESC instead of the SHIFT+ESC and then I get the “resume mission or exit” BMS menu. But I was never sent back to desktop.
Are u using the default key file for BMS?

Probably way too late to help P2CFE but he probably still had Windows VR window running while he tried to use Keespeech, and this was running windows UI commands unintentionally.
Another tip for noobs like me (I just now got this running after a bit of frustration) is that I think you need to delete the “_BMS_432_chipi_V2.3.5 STD keyboard-KEYSPEECH-COMMS only.xml” file from your Keespeech ‘Profiles’ folder after you have extracted your .rar folder. I was getting ‘cannot load profile’ messages for a while before trying this.
And lastly a note on the OP: if it is possible to edit this with all the info that has come out through the different versions (eg. profiles DON’T go in the Keespeech install folder anymore, they have their own folder now!) that would be handy for people like me who are a bit slow and lazy but still want to play this amazing sim with all the bells and whistles
Cheers guys!

Thanks for the heads up. I am away from the PC right now.
I will try to update the first post when I get back home. One thing about the “can’t load profile” error message. I can not check it right now, but I think that you get that error message the first time you run keyspeech if the default profile can’t be foundin your profile folder.
Keyspeech always looks for the last profile that was loaded, and it will return this error message if for whatever reason that last profile can’t be found. -
Still downloading 4.33, but it looks like from the manual that at least the ATC menu has new commands, anything else change? I would edit mine by hand but it is 500+ profiles IIRC. Just checking if you planned to update them jcenzano sometime. I figure like the rest of us you want to play with the new release first, no big hurry. But if you aren’t looking to update them, I’ll start the process after I get a little flight time in and see the changes to the radio menus. Thanks for the great profiles!
-
A new set of profiles will be released for 4.33 with all the changes and some new phrases.
Suggestions are welcome. When? I do not know mainly because first I need to fix error that prevents me from using my budget-home-pit with 4.33.
After that, my first priority will be to make the new keyspeech profiles.

No problem, there are a few phrases I would say a little different but your work is excellent! I’ll look back through everything and let you know what I would tweak, but definitely take your time!

Tell me those phrases and I will include them. They make no harm.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the teamspeak plugin and the stand alone, functionally? Do they differ in how they work and options available? I am not flying online now and I am curious as to how the teampseak, keyspeech and IVC supplement each other. The last time I went online was a few years ago and I remember I used teamspeak and IVC. Now I like being able to use VA for AI radio and I am very interested in keyspeech. I did a VAC trial but I am not sold because it won’t do DX inputs. Now hearing that Keyspeech does makes me very interested. If I get Keyspeech I can use it by itself offline. If I go online will I need teamspeak, Keyspeech and IVC? If not what? If I will be using it online should I get the teamspeak plugin? I guess what I’m trying to ask is: What do I need to use with BMS 4.33 U1 and keyspeech to fly online and talk to Human wingmen? Do I need teamspeak, IVC or both, or something difffernt all together. If I need teamspeak then it would make sense to get the keyspeech plugin. I am trying to keep the background programs to a minimum.
Thanks

I have no clue what the Keyspeech TS plugin does, but I can try to help you out with the other stuff.
First, you can use VAC online with a little workaround, even it does not support DX buttons. But i don’t recommend to use VAC to play online due to the what I explained in this post.
But if you just want to try it, what you can do is to use a joystick mapping utility to map both PTTs to the same key (i.e. ScrollLock) and use that key as the VAC PTT. There are numerous freeware joystick mappers like SVMAPPER. I for one use a little payware program called Xpadder to do all the mapping of my various input devices.
When you press either of your DX PTTs, falcon will “see” that particular DX button and VAC will “see” its PTT key(i.e ScrollLock). Make sure that the key you use as PTT for VAC has no function at all at falcon.Second, you can use Keyspeech both online and offline, and alone or in combination with IVC or/and Teamspeak. Since you can assign multiple Dx buttons to be PTTs in keyspeech, you must assign both the DX buttons you use in BMS as PTTs for Keyspeech. This way, when you press either VHF or UHF transmit in BMS, your keyspeech program will start listening. You will have to figure out how to bring Teamspeak into the equation, because when I fly online with my sqn, once we are in the cockpit, we mute TS and we don’t use it at all.
hope it helps….
and I am done half way through the profiles for 4.33. i hope I can release them soon, but for you can use the 4.32 profiles available. Tver quien like for 95% of the radio comms. Only a few things change in the tower menu.

Thanks. So if I am understanding correctly, teamspeak is not used in game. IVC can be used in game but keyspeech is all you need when in game. Yeah, I had that problem with VAC and had to make a PTT key on my HOTAS but because it is not DX it made that button lose all other functions. I am going to try out Keyspeech because it sounds like I can assign it a DX callback in the key file and keep the shifted callbacks for that button. Thanks.

Regarding human to human comms, you can use either IVC or Teamspeak as you desire, or as your wingmen require. Some groups use Teamspeak for organizing/planning and switch to IVC in 3D to take advantage of the UFC channel selection. I am not familiar with the Teamspeak plugins. When flying online I use Keyspeech with a unique PTT button for comms with AI entities.

Just for clarification.
It is possible to use a single dedicated Keyspeech PTT, different from the IVC PTTs ( I understand this is Habu’s config)or
The two IVC PTTs can be used also as Keyspeech PTT.
I prefer the latter because this way if I want to ask for a picture, at the same time that Keyspeech is listening to my “magic, falcon 11 request picture” call, so are my human teammates. When I am done with the call, Keyspeech will type “q 1” for me, but at the same time, my sqn mates will have listened to my comm, as they would have in RL.
From time to time, it can happen that when you want to tell your wingman “Man, I am hungry”, Keyspeech understands " two go lower " and types something. This is what I call false positives.
They can be minimized by increasing the value of the “accuracy” slider on the Keyspeech settings.
I for one have this slider at 92%.
The higher you set this value the “more perfect” you have to pronounce the commands sentences for Keyspeech to recognize them, but the lower the possibilities to get a false positive.
With the accuracy slider set to a very high value, from time to time, your AI command sentence won’t be understood but, guess what, from time to time that also happens IRL and you have to call magic again with your request because they were to busy putting sugar on their coffees…[emoji12]

HEY jcenzano
what a cool application
OUTSTANDING WORK - thanks !! :headb:
just allow me “my two cents”……
–---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS USING “AWACS REQUEST RECUE CHOPPER” Q9
“eject eject eject”
**“mayday mayday mayday”“C/S+ mayday mayday mayday”
i.e Falcon 11 mayday mayday mayday**
–---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I wouldn’t implement this to the “MAYDAY”-call - just to the “EJECT”
reason is: there are multiple options/requirements you have to declare MAYDAY by using this phrase to ATC but this does NOT require a rescue chopper all the time !
else than that: great tool which just entered to my wishlist (downloading right now!)
cheers

Thank you!!!
I just made the profiles. I wish my programming skills were so that I could have written Keyspeech.
For that all the credit must go to Mr. Ouellet a.k.a. in this forum as “Keyspeech”
As for the mayday call, its there because it is rarely used in the military enviroment, only for the most critical life-threatening time-critical emergencies. In some civilian flight schools, the teach MAYDAY, MAYDAY MAYDAY as a synonym of “declaring emergency”. Well, while they might be theoretically correct, in practice, mayday is rarely used and only when you are in deep shit and you want everybody else to shut up on the radio.
You are correct that not all the times it requires a rescue chopper, but if something goes terribly wrong, you will probably find yourself calling mayday and later ejecting. Anyway, it does no harm that it is there (and it is terribly tedious to change all profiles only for that) :p:p:p But I do appreciate the feedback.
thanks
