@b.s.:
So about a week ago BMS started crashing on me.
This occurred on the loading screen, just before it switched from 2D to 3D.It would crash every single time, but I could just not figure out why. I tried shutting everything off one at a time, but no matter what I did it still crashed.
I even deleted 4.33 and falcon4.0 and did a full reinstall of both.
It /STILL/ crashed.
Finally I switched to the basic key file and everything worked peachy.
I had restored my keyfile from the user backup when i did the clean install.
Switched back to my old keyfile, and it crashed again.
Switched back to the basic keyfile, all hunky dory.So pretty much I had managed to put something in the keyfile that successfully made falcon croak.
Unfortunately I really can’t remember what that thing would have been…
I’ve recreated my key file with my common use items.
I’ll back it up in the future before adding functions to it, to see if I can catch what broke it.Also, I was using the UI to make key changes,
NOT editing the keyfile manuallyAnyway, I thought that was odd enough to mention.
I had exactly the same problem. Multiple reinstalls followed until I realised that the one common denominator was “My Keyfile” which I was using with each reinstall. Changed back to the original and BMS has worked flawlessly since.
