Pickup trucks, cars, fuel trucks, box trucks. Speed boats. Remote camps. Etc… Adding these and the road clutter of civilian vehicles could add a lot of challenge to theaters and missions. The non state groups are a big influence in the world of global conflicts and totally unexplored in flight sims. These groups could push over borders in areas of conflict and be added on maps just like national armies. It would add a lot to game. Factions could compete within the countries and added to maps as an under layer of the nation state to give political disunity and struggles for natural resources on maps. We could direct these and see their areas of control just like we can with national forces. Cartels, mercenaries, political parties etc… Air support for cas missions to hunt and contain them would provide a lot of action and could bring in a lot of variety and challenge. Do we have any vehicles like this? Would it be hard to add layers to these maps?

Highway airstrips / Forward Arming and Refueling Points for Harriers and others ...
Is it possible to create highway airstrips/ land on roads or create forward arming and refueling points for harriers in addition to the normal airports on the maps? It might add a lot of challenge to the game both at the pilot level and the campaign command level.
Soviet aircraft are built tough for dirty airstrips and a big part of the cold war strategy for both sides was being able to rearm and refuel away from home once the main airfields had been attacked.
It would add something if it were possible to put these points onto the maps at different highway locations without them showing up on a multiplayer map as an airbase. It would also be cool to be able to move them every few hours and to command and supply the farp ground units. There are some good articles about this to help develop it into more of a mod that could be used strategically just search for forward arming and refueling points for fighter aircraft.

Updating v 1 ...2 ...3 ... etc.
When I am updating from the new base version do I need to update 4.37 1, 2 and 3 or does version 4.37.3 contain all the updates from 1 and 2 ?

RE: Using Joystick and gamepad at the same time ?
I got it working with both joystick and gamepad. Thanks for all the great suggestions and help. I didn’t see how to do it the first time.
Now with the 4.37 launcher it is all much simpler.

Using Joystick and gamepad at the same time ?
Would it be possible to set up a logitech 3d pro joystick AND a generic xbox gamepad for simultaneous use?
Folks are using the joystick with separate throttle and rudder pedals setups, but I can’t get two controllers to work at the same time. Both work fine on their own, but if both are plugged in then falcon only recognizes one of them. Could this be a windows thing to fix? I’m using 4.35. I have installed .36 and .37 but I’m still using with 4.35 most of the time because I’m still doing a lot of training missions.

Purpose Driven Joystick Bindings: Takeoff & Landing, A-G mode, NAV, Air to Air ...
I had an idea that seemed kind of new to me and it might work well for all the different flight or space flight simulators. I’m not sure if we can do it in falcon but it might be a potentially cool way to setup a joystick.
I was wondering if there is any way that I could set up the joystick buttons to allow several layers of joystick setups to exist and be flipped through while in flight as the pilot needs them.
Example while taking off or landing I might need flaps, trim, brakes, nose wheel steering etc. Would it be possible to set up the controllers to go into a mode where I could press some keys that would alter my joystick buttons to a specific setup and then switch to like nav mode where I might use the same buttons for tms up and down buttons instead of flaps and trim etc. Then switch over to Air to Air or Air to Ground. The joysticks have a lot of buttons but it we could like switch into commonly used sub-modes to reassign our joystick in flight it would be fairly easy to bulk out the abilities of a low button joystick. An 8 button joystick could become an unlimited button joystick by using a sub-mode system.
I was thinking like CAPS LOCK on and off plus the insert, delete, home, end, page up, page down would potentially be like 6 different modes that could be used with CAPS LOCK on without loosing their original binding with caps lock off.
Caps lock+ home = takeoff and landing
Caps lock + End could be NAV
Caps lock + Delete could be Air to Ground
Caps lock + Page Down could be Air to airThen there would be room for two other modes for certain situations/ missions.
It is just a cool idea that ran through my head this week.
If anyone knows a way to make this work please share it with me. It would be awesome to develop as a concept and use on my low button joystick setup.
