Ch fighterstick pro usb and satik x52 for its throttle now…I like to see how to set the stick buttons and the throttle buttons if I were truly new, regedit issues aside. The fighterstick is almost akin to the thrustmaster buttonwise…just no 2 trigger detents and no ap slap switch, so maybe a vote to see the saetik setup though I must vote other

RE: New User. Can't get CH Combatstick 568 USB working. Help!!
Lkdog: When you are on the controller screen in setup for the ui make sure that it doesn’t say keyboard for control mode. Then click advanced and make sure that your joystick is controlling pitch, roll and since you have a z it also does the throttle-unless you have a throttle device. Yes you want to have the control manager installed if you plan on getting another ch product or you learn to write code for the controller.
I have the CH FIGHTERSTICK USB, there are only two buttons on it that are missing. They didnt put in a 2 stage trigger, and there is no paddle switch. The combat stick has a few buttons less than the fighterstick. I throw mine into mapped mode and use a few buttons not how they were designed in the sim, until I get a throttle control I have the air brake and radar cursors mapped on the stick too, just change the mode and I have the correct stick assignment.
Hope that helps in some way -
RE: Is the dual stage trigger absolutely necessary for BMS?
Space Bar works pretty good for that too

RE: DX
JC1;
Maybe you used the wrong key command for DMS. Up/DN/L/R should change what page your MFD is on or what display is the system point of interest. CH allows you to have 32 buttons mapped on the stick or throttle device each, I use the Fighterstick usb. I can change the mode of the stick which allows me to access all 32 buttons, even though the stick only has 20 buttons & 3 axis. 4 of those buttons I leave to be my view;so I don’t have the trim portion set up. They claim it’s possible to have ~128 buttons on the stick but you need to script them. I have my hands full with 20 as it is, there is a rocker switch on the ICP that would allow you to change the steerpoint, perhaps that is what happened or maybe you pushed the keyboard command for steerpoint increase while using your stick. DMS up should make the HUD the SOI & give you an * in the HUD, showing you that it is the display of interest at the time. -
RE: Feedback BMS-Training.pdf
So I’ve got a question re: where you want to have someone park & shut down once they land. When should it be on the ramp, when should it be in the parking area, and if there are multiple parking areas which one? I.E. TE6 where im comming in on Taegu, I don’t normally run thru Taegu and I see there are two parking areas alpha & bravo, HAS on the North taxiway and anti-blast structures on the South taxiway, and a maintenance lot. Where do I want to park since the Valet is off duty?
But nicely done. Can’t wait for the NOTAMs to start.

jc1- Guncross has been stated in my readings as the initial boom location. Your fPM will fluctuate with speed and wind, where the cross is stable. It may keep you from having to abort too; as it is usually higher than the FPM which might keep you from having the boom strike your canopy…

RE: CH Fighterstick with no pedals and throttle?
The fighterstick usb has 18cm of movement if you measure travel from the nose in most foreward to most aft position, or roughly 8". There is VERY LITTLE resistance in the stick movement. It does come with CH’s software so you can tweak it, but I don’t know how you’d adjust the stick travel to the slim margin the “real” F-16 stick has. Does it have the paddle switch that the Cougar does? No. Do you need it though? Not right off the bat. I still have mine using the trim hat to pan the cockpit. The real question that should be asked though is: Is this the only flight sim. I’m using? Learning to fly the jet is priority, then worry about a better stick & head tracking. Then worry about pedals. They’ll only help you on the ground, and there is an ongoing debate elsewhere about whether to use them in flight or not. The only button you should worry about is the gun trigger and where it’s located. I WISH the fighterstick came with the 2 detent trigger, but it doesn’t. My only real complaint about it.
Sorry if I’m ranting again guys.

RE: Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
Tried a 9" device that AT FIRST GLANCE looked promising: low price, large screen, LOCALY OBTAINABLE. Found price to be higher - not a member of store x/y/z, resolution not specified on box but in testing was LESS THAN DESIREABLE. 700x400. Back it went, now back to searching online. Still at it, not detered.

RE: Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
I don’t know anything about an LGL39C, but would you please explain “lack of service”?
No longer connected to a carrier. Plan ceased to exhist. No money given to run as phone anymore. Lack of service.
Tried with lgl39c connected to router/wifi setup. It displayed an IP address when I did that - and as such I got it to work briefly. The screen size is small enough that I only saw the upper half of the left MFD - top row of buttons and 3 from the left edge. The window next to fuel said 400 & 320, I’m guessing that is the resolution. I had a MFD with buttons superimposed over the actual screen - like picture in picture, but it was blocking part of the information. Is that supposed to be there, or is it because my screen was so small? The rate of data transmission was about half a second behind what my monitor displayed, but my graphics on screen were showing somewhere in the 30-50 fps range. I’d like to see that lag get less but for a first run it looked great. I’m currently loking into a tablet - what is the smallest I can get away with? In other words is screen size really important or is it more screen resolution that is the deciding factor?

RE: Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
Followup. Just tested the software on a used LG LGL39C and except for the lack of an IP address the software seemed to work. It came up fine on that device but with lack of service comes lack of device ip address. When I tried to back out it kept giving me error messages about something not being a constant in com.arifkomurculer.falconmfd.MainAcivity$MessagesName, and gave the close button for the message beneath that. That was the 1.7.1 version, the 1.7.0 wouldn’t allow me to see the save button. komurcu - do you want any more information from me or would you prefer I go radio silent?
