seriously, i think BMS team has more new models in upcoming update. If possible, please post a more complete list…the list in “modelling organization” thread is shorter than expected. Of course, if operating underground is the style, please let modders have a playground, like a seperate korea theater and all its file folders.
Think again. The first patch will more than likely be just a patch. Not an update. There are CTD’s and other code related issues to fix before a bunch of models get added. No one is operating underground, it is more a mentality of quality over quantity. Quality takes time so don’t hold your breath on a whack of half ass models being added just for the sake of saying look at all the new models. FF is very much alive which renders your model pack unusable from a BMS standpoint. In order to remove any FF finger prints there would need to be some serious work done. The time would be better spent creating newer high poly versions that are organized properly. The F18 in this thread and the cockpit as well have only been tested by a few guys who are working on it. It has not been beta tested at all within the entire BMS structure so again……its going to be a while.
Yeah joined your forum recently. Looks very, very good guys. really looking forward to this one.
Cheers
Molni……you add those lines Retro posted and or take them from Duncs key file to your key file.
Start the sim up.
Go to setup - controllers
Scroll down to the views section and you should see the View - Top Gun entries
Click your mouse(one click) in the section to the left of the entry.(It should say no key assigned) It will turn blue.
Hit the key combination or key you want to map it to.
Rinse repeat for the other two.
Hit Save.
Also the hotspot, iirc, does not move with the throttle so if you have the throttle advanced or back a ways the hotspot will not line up with the switch. It still works but you have to do it a couple of times to get a feel for where the spot is. Or use the keyboard.
There is more documentation in the works guys. As far as learning the systems go just take it slow and learn one thing at a time. Do the ramp start over and over until you have it down pat and then move on from there. It just takes time. The training scripts are not as complete as we would have liked but we just didn’t have the manpower to make them more complete. Hopefully now that BMS is out there, the community will pick things up and create whatever is needed.
