yesterday I started updating the 3D models of some vehicles that I thought were necessary on Falcon. I started with the PT76 and i will finish and proceed to another one tjat you can also suggest, i’ll leave you the first pic of it. Enjoy!

Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
The 2S1 is complete, obviously missing the more refined textures (dirt, rust) which will be added to everyone when I reach a number of complete vehicles that satisfies me. Having said this, the 2S1 is the first tank that currently meets the BMS requirements for the number of triangles which are currently 39k, enjoy!

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
and this is for now the model for the M60A3, still without some parts like the ERA but it’s getting closer, hope you like it and let me know what you think!

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
jokes aside guys here is your real Gepard with 20k triangles, as usual the possibility of details is still high but I always try to risk more to optimize the model, I hope you like it!

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
Just finished the external model and the basic colors, i think this is the fair amount of detail for a military sim where you spot targets at 30+ thousands feet. I will continue to update this model with dust, scratches and all of the signs that a pt76 can have; I will now move on to the next tank that needs a rework and at some point i will finally finish all of the final details for the models. Hope you enjoy see you soon!

And here is the new vehicle just “completed”, the Panzerhaubitze 2000, made up of 21k triangles and as you can see it is the first vehicle in which I am experimenting with bump textures, it is not painted and has no details yet but I think it is a good result for a first try , everything else will come with more experience in the world of texturing, I hope you like it!

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
Hello everyone, sorry for the absence but as already said I don’t have much time due to exams. This is the Leopard 1 with a first test of texture bump, I have to be honest, I didn’t understand much about how to make everything more realistic and high quality as it’s the first time I’ve done something like this but obviously you improve by trying new things. The wagon is not completely finished, some details are missing here and there but let’s say it is 80% complete. I hope you like it and if you have any suggestions I’m here to listen to them, see you soon!

And the Strela also finished successfully without exceeding 40k triangles, missing the final textures as always, will be done in the future and I can still add some details in the back if needed, stay tuned and let me know what vehicle i should do next!

@Betto top view with the possibility of adding way more details

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
So quick update, I’m currently modeling the 2S1 and I’m working on the triangles and I have to admit that I didn’t expect to get such details with so few polygons, considering that what you see is the final shape of the tank, only external parts with details are missing to 2000 triangles

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
Hi guys, I’m completing the Leopard 1 with a higher level of texture and details with 70k triangles and a nice LOD, I must say that the work is really cool even if I’m having difficulties on some textures that are definitely going crazy due to my mistake, expect updates or photos in the next few days see ya!

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
Hi guys, just a quick update for the models, the pt76 and M60A3 are finished but thanks to @okayasugf and his advice I have to rework the models a lot to fit BMS and the standards for the number of triangles that needs to be lowered. I decided to leave those 2 models there for a while to start another vehicle that would satisfy that modeling request so as not to waste too much time. Thanks everyone for the advice and let me know which tank i should do!

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the GOPARD

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
Yes guys you are all right on the amount of poligons added here, I am making those models with slightly more detail just to set a quality standard that can be lowered if necessary for the sim, anyway thanks to all of you

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
@VDK The M60 is already done, gepard is probably gonna be the next one in the line!

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
@Dusty SAM’s will be reworked too

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
@Radium hi man, I will do the textures when I have reached a number of vehicles that satisfies me, first I will finish the 3D models with basic colors and then I will focus on the textures, also I am not yet 100% with my texturing skills and I would like to learn more

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
@VDK I’m currently working on the M60A3 with ERA. I will try to do everything I can to update as many vehicles as possible. Stay tuned for photos already from tonight, the model is at an excellent point
