Solved! In the advanced controller options for view control, I selected “enabled 3D cockpit TrackIR” and “enable TrackIR vector,” and selected FOV control as the TrackIR vector Z axis mode. I had to fiddle around with the curves and the default FOV, but now it’s working great! I immediately noticed that, in addition to the Z axis now working for zooming in, FTNoIR is a lot less jittery with 3D cockpit TrackIR enabled in the BMS settings. Much improved; for anyone else who’s using FTNoIR, you’re only getting a portion of what it’s capable of if you don’t actually have TrackIR enabled in the in-game settings. Only took me, what, almost a year and a half to figure it out; glad I did, though!
