Another thought. One point of view would say that this is the ‘standard’ HOTAS layout:
I understand that at the moment this doesn’t help you (ChrLE25), however this is what BMS.key and the AC functions in the sim are based on. Understanding those functions and how best to access them for your own setup (some on the stick, some by mouse in the clickable cockpit, and some by keyboard) will improve your ability to fly the sim …. and understand what’s what in the tutorials.
Everyone who does not have a Cougar HOTAS uses a stick/keyboard profile to achieve some personally acceptable variation of this ‘standard’.
