@airtex2019
Thanks!
So I managed to recover my .36 keyfile by changing the files names (IDs) to the existing ones.
Can I do the same for .37 (compatibility wise) ?
If not, is there an easy way to look at my 36 keymappings (incl. shft) while configuring it in 37?

AL keyfile overwritten?
Hi guys,
I set up my X55 in Alternative launher back in July 22’ but took a break since September.
I updated AL once or twice and also installed 4.37 U1.
Now, AL keymapping is empty. I even tried copying the XML files from the backup to both 37 & 36 but nothing changes in AL/UI.
No override checkbox is unticked ofc.Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Laker -
RE: YAME64 suite
Is it possible to click the OSB buttons with mouse? every time I hover on them it switches the focus to bms.

RE: BMS 4.34 crash on joining online campaign
@Bad:
Could you investigate if the clients who are crashing are also maybe the ones who moved one (or more) ground units on the map.
Anyway Mav-JP will add a guard (only in MP) to not allow the client to change the battalion’s path to an objective (i mean to not “move to” anymore the battalions in MP)
I crashed dozens of times and never in my life I had moved a ground unit on FO.
They already disabled the option to move ground units and it kept happening.

RE: Battle For Sinai 2.3.3 Force On Force Event
BFS is a fork of ITO which happened years ago (Circa 2014). It’s focus is MP / Force on Force, and the campaign was designed by Mystic Magic (among other FO members).
Danguard has recently ported it (and made other design changes) to 4.3.4 standards (DB etc), and the UI was lightly massaged from the 4.3.4 default to ensure maximum compatibility.
Obviously the original ITO developers have due credit with BFS as it was the baseline which was used, although to my understanding they have not yet ported it to 4.3.4 going by the forum thread here.
They are two completely different installs which are not compatible between each other.
I know all that I was just trying to explain myself.

RE: Battle For Sinai 2.3.3 Force On Force Event
Not so.
As explained above by Archer and others BFS is a Campaign that is played out in the Israeli Theater Map
This fact takes no credit away from either group. But without ITO there would be no BFS.
They are different? They are installed separately? BFS campaign developers are not the same guys who developed ITO? That’s what I meant.
The guy asked if the fact that a BFS event starting soon means ITO is being converted and the answer is absolutely no because of the reasons I wrote. -
RE: Battle For Sinai 2.3.3 Force On Force Event
@AsafBoy:
well this isnt true at all
BFS based on ITO
Who said it isn’t?
I could’ve added that as a disclaimer cause ITO developers definitely deserve a lot of credit, but everything I said is true. -
RE: Battle For Sinai 2.3.3 Force On Force Event
Has the Israel theater been converted to 4.34 then?
ITO and BFS are different theaters made by different people.

RE: IVC Server crashing
Windows update may have happened?

Pretty sure that the answer is yes

RE: IVC Server crashing
Maybe it runs on another user?

I don’t see anything related to it in the task manager after it closes, and also it stays open for like one or two seconds and afaik if there is an IVC server running then if you try to open again nothing will happened.

IVC Server crashing
All of a sudden, every time I launch IVC Server it opens and closes immediately.
I restarted my computer and tried to run as admin and it didn’t work. -
X55 Throttle wheel too sensitive
As said above. I’m using snelle’s X55 profile (scrl fwd=mrm scrl bck=dgft) and it will take me a few seconds to get to the mode I want.
Probably a hardware issue as it is not smooth in the settings/sst program.
Anyone aware of a fix for this issue? and any other places I could ask for an answer to this question? -
RE: X55 keyfile -BMS -Full DX Programmed
Thank you so much! great keyfile and saved me so much time.
btw, I have a problem with the throttle wheel, it will sometimes switch modes without me touching it, and whenever I want to switch to MRM it will take me a few tries.
got any ideas of how can I fix it? -
RE: BMS 4.33 U1 Setup Issue
I have the same problem that smitty64 was talking about, deleted anything related to BMS/Benchmark sims/Falcon in the regedit, didn’t have any folder named Benchmark sims in there though.
restarted my computer and it still didn’t work.
I have the original Falcon 4.0 installed.
It is probably because I accidentally deleted the whole BMS folder and wasn’t able to uninstall it properly.
Anything else I can do? the only thing in my mind is reinstalling Windows.Edit: NVM, https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?10640-Reinstalling-Issue-quot-The-registry-entry-quot&p=380550&viewfull=1#post380550
That helped me, Thanks Shadow! -
RE: Installing BMS on SSD
Hey
SSD will give you mainly faster load times. Mainly means:
1. Faster pie screen.
2. Faster loading of 3D models and textures in 3D when the engine is pulling data from disk - E.g when in 3D and loading a model that isn’t in memory already (or must have been swapped due to memory management). However, the BMS loader is async, so models/textures are loaded while the engine keeps running, so you shouldn’t suffer any stutters or hiccups like it used to be in the old days (For who remembers). In general, a GFX engine wants everything to be in memory so it won’t need to go search the disk in Real time, but sometimes that isn’t quite possible to hold everything, so sometimes there is disk access at Runtime.
I say, if its easy to make room, then it’s the best, but it’s not THAT critical as one may think. Anyway don’t expect any performance improvements or something like that, real time performance (Besides possible delays on models/textures loading as noted in #2) don’t depend on disk access.
Thank you for such a detailed answer, appreciated

Installing BMS on SSD
My SSD doesn’t have too much free space and I’m wondering if installing BMS will make any difference than installing it on my HDD.
Should I make some space for it or it doesn’t really matter ?
Thank you! -
RE: Recording BMS using ShadowPlay
Try it with setting Shadowplay to in-game Resolution
Already did, didn’t help…
@sunrrrise:No need to restart Shadowplay while you in 3D! Just set Shadowplay to full ‘manual’ mode, not ‘shadow and manual’.
Well, now it works tough it’s not exactly what I wanted cuz sometimes I play other games and something happens and you don’t manage to capture it on time so the replay really helps in this case, also in BMS.
But it’s definitely better than it was, I’ll just gonna have to change the settings every time I fly.
Thank you!
