IIRC the default start, if the base isn’t crowded, is always in the south loop.

RE: GPU and VIS mode
If you want to handoff between visual mode and the TGP, you could make a HUD markpoint, then use that as your initial SPI for PRE mode, right?

RE: Track - IR
Building an IR LED tracking clip is super-simple, if you have a soldering iron and some spare time. The components you need cost about $5 in total. I bought a used TrackIR camera by itself off of eBay for about half price, and the IR LED tracking clip I built for my old freetrack setup works fine.

RE: Black screen after launch
That was it, thanks. I must’ve looked at the patch tool five times and missed that option every single one.

Black screen after launch
I launch the launcher, then launch the game, and the screen goes black and doesn’t advance to the menu. CPU usage is zero, and Windows 10 says it’s not responding.
Anyone have the same thing?

RE: Landing gear problem
Aha! That’s definitely it—both times, I fumbled with the canopy lever a little bit.
Thanks, guys.

Landing gear problem
In two of my last five sorties, I’ve run into a very curious problem with ramp starts. I go through my checklist, and when I’m ready to taxi, I tap the MSL STEP button to turn on nosewheel steering. It doesn’t do anything—neither my joystick assignment nor the default keybind. I taxi with toe braking, and after I take off, I can’t raise the landing gear. Neither my keybind nor the clickable gear handle cause the gear handle to go into the ‘up’ position. Notably, when I’m on the ground, both the G key and the clickable gear handle cause the gear handle to move up and down. It’s like the plane thinks I’m in the air when I’m on the ground, and on the ground after I’ve taken off. If, after takeoff, I end the mission and hop back in, nosewheel steering and the gear handle work.
Is this a known issue? Is there something I should avoid doing while starting the jet?
