@Guldager:

Hey

Just wondering if there is any way to calculate when to make a turn?

Let’s say i want to calculate when i should start a turn, i’m flying 400kts, and i have to turn 90 Degrees.
How far out from the steerpoint should i start turning? (this depends on the amount of G, yes i know)

Depends what you want to achieve in that turn or how you would like to execute a 90deg turn.

sustaining speed? sustaining altitude? sustaining speed and altitude? (belive it or not, alot vpilots have problems even doing that - VVI needle at 0 and speed +/- 3kts) is it a “turning point” turn? is it a “fly over point” turn?

If it is a “truning point” turn and you want to find out the point of the turn-initiation, just calculate your radius R while speed, altitute, GW, and bank-angle (aka G-laod) are you variables here, and start turning R feet before WP.
