I barely know anything about modding Falcon…and it maybe too obious so forgive me when I say:
Tried increasing some sort of Drag Cooficient?

Awesome!
Now I want a warning sound for an inbound heater, a sound when the speed is > 250 with the gear down, and a sound when my CCIP pipper is exactly over a target!
Would make this sim sooooo much more realistic……
Noop…
Worse AI incident EVER was years ago!
Ara’ once fired a Harm right at the moment his wingman passed in front of him. BOOOOOM WTF!

As posted tons of times before: the range cue ‘>’ should be inside launchzone (see HUD top right)
Then switch to MAN.

Never misses.
Those who do that get awarded a medal.
Those who just do their job and come home alive get their salary.
If I was ever trained to do what the single guy did to gain a medal, then medals would not exist.
I like to compare the foreign militairy ops with the medival crusades. Most knights and templars were going for the adventure or the money…or were forced to. Just few had some honest noble or personal cause.
Its a different story when your coutry is invaded and you are defending it directly. Men (and women) will be more than willing to defend it or die trying.
Avoidance, denial, and demand proof. Never admit to anything. Ever.

Did a women teach you that?
 That’s the way to do it, but I don’t think it’s possible in the campaigns.
It is. If there is a prowler, just task it with an ECM mission.
Stay within 20nm of the prowler and you are all safe from SAMs. Not from ships though.
Just task an ECM flight like a prowler and knock every SAM down with club or throw rocks at it until it explodes. No problem.
The ALiVE mod brings the dynamic campaign and player-bubble system as we know it from Falcon to Arma3. Maybe we can do something with this.
I think its better to think in sollutions. Arma3 is extremely flexible.
New unit positions can be overcome not by simply using a setpos command but a Domove command with some scripting to force the unit in a certain direction. (As in stop him from being clever)
But for now single-unit batallions is the easiest way to go.
Hell…this whole project is barely pre-alpha.
I even wasnt able to meet Sharpe on his TS. Did meet some of his buddies though
Im pretty sure we can figure stuff out without touching the BMS code.
The theater will be relatively simple. Shitloads of sea with just a few 10x10nm islands.
Not to mention Time sensitive strikes, for SpecOps on the ground some where…
If the Falcon guys are not able to get bombs on target, guys on the ground are in the shit. Not to mention friendly fire if a bomb totally misses …
A ship as Naval artillery may harras ground troops…
Not destroying the ship makes the Arma side a whole lot harder
Still I do think CAS can still work. As an aircraft you dont need to specifically see what you are bombing. If there is a machinegun nest in a house, just bombing the house is enough. But you still need the CAS-brief to do so.
Lots and lots of potential!
How install-friendly is this molni?
I dont want to rape my F4bms install. But verymuch looking forward to fly this.
Ok cool waiting for your PM.
With an ArmA compatible theater I was more thinking of a standard Falcon theater size map with all (or some Arma 1 2 and 3) maps. Whichever are used or can be used. Put all the islands some miles away from eachother and sync it generally with true lat/lng’s.
Most islands are infact based on island in the middleterenian and adriatic sea. Everon (from OFP) for example off the coast of croatia.
So you will have a very sea filled falcon theater
OR just have the full Aegean theater with the Arma3 island, as you allready did, but more detail for specifically tgat island. It should be easy enough to only draw the Falcon-side aircraft is it’s location is within certaon parameters.
Ohwww my brain is going wild! Haha
I was just thinking…
What if the webserver, handling the location data, runs on the same server as the falcon server?
That potentially lowers the delay by a hundred of times…
I was also thinking…since F4AWACS has ground unit positions, you can use Falcon as the platform for all the ground vehicles (Or atleast the ones relevant for that mission). That will instantly synchronise locations of these vehicles with the ARMA world!
The most ideal would be to have a Theater 100% optimised to match the ArmA stock theater. This is just an 11x11nm area so should be piece 'a cake for a experienced Theater builder.
Can’t ASharpe and Noubernou and me not get together on TS some day soon to share some ideas and knowledge?
I read that aswell…
Lets make money.
Ok I back away from the comms issue. Im sure there are people smarter than me who can handle that.
For the visualisation part:
You may be able to make some sort of prediction using the set velocity and commands to set pitch/bankvangles.
Nevertheless, the view distance issue kill the nesecity of a visualisation of the aircraft. It would just mean we are limited to type 2 and type 3 control in CAS situation. Which is fine! It will be damn cool anyway.
Using MFDE as a ROVER system would kinda make it even better.
F16A! Would be awesome to finally have the old pit in Falcon!
I believe Q stands for question or more likely query but I believe the meaning of the following two letters has been retroactively assigned to aid memory. If you look at the other Q codes the suffix isn’t tied to the meaning of the content. People assign memory aids to the suffix and until I see the 1929 telegraph handbook explaining the suffix letters that’s what I’m going to believe.
Read my posts. There is the explanation. (Which is basically what you are saying)
Someone lock the thread.
Then I can rest in peace knowing my grandchildren will have that feature.
