Just like the title says, the update from 4.36.1 to 4.36.2 has resulted in the HUD only view being zoomed in (FOV is 30). I don’t know why that changed, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to change it back to whatever your default FOV is other than to use 3rd party utilities. I see that Weapons Delivery Planner utility for setting the HUD only view can change this. It shows that the default FOV value is 30. This is a crazy default FOV. Will changing this in the tool by Falcas break anything?

No EEGS funnel and other gun symbology without radar lock
Just like the title suggests, 4.36 U2 took away the funnel and those other pulsating lines at the bottom of the HUD to help line up your shot without radar lock. You only get the funnel, death dot, pipers, etc. when you have a radar lock. It’s easy to produce, so I’m not going to provide anymore details. Test in dogfight mode.

RE: MFDExtractor won't remember MFD positions
@Icarus I didn’t make any exceptions. I’ll give it a try though. Thanks!

RE: MFDExtractor won't remember MFD positions
@white_fang I have the portable version that doesn’t require me to install anywhere. I just extracted the MFDE zip contents to a folder on my C drive and run the exe from there. I see no way to stop it from running as admin. It does create a config file in AppData. Does any of this make sense?

@Icer what do you have your Simgears ICP attached to? Could you PM me the details? Thanks!

RE: MFDExtractor won't remember MFD positions
@Icarus great suggestion and I actually did that. I think the fact that it runs as administrator makes it not respect that. Does it need to run as admin?

MFDExtractor won't remember MFD positions
Hi folks,
I’ve seen this exact issue described by some on the forum, but none of the suggested fixes seem to work for me. I have two 800x600 small MFD monitors sold by Trigger from the flight sim community. I have a USB-C to dual HDMI splitter which I connect both screens to, but have connected directly to HDMI and DisplayPort (via HDMI to DP adapter) to rule out any issue with the splitter mentioned above. No difference.
Anyway, everything works great the first time. I position the MFDs, size them right, and they work perfectly once in 3D. If I close and reopen MFDExtractor however, the MFDs go back to a position on my main monitor (near the top right), and only after I click recover for both of them in options. I’ve heard the suggestion to manually edit the positions in the config file found in AppData, but that gets overwritten immediately when I inevitably have to recover the MFDs. I’ve put the sizing info into the config file in the MFDExtractor folder itself which saves the size of the MFD boxes, but not their position. I don’t see where to set this in that config file.
Before someone suggests using RTT, I can’t get good frame rates from it. The radar cursor is really laggy/choppy. Everything else works fine, so if anyone has a solution to that RTT problem, I’m all ears. I appreciate any specific help one can offer. I’ve searched this forum and Google extensively trying to find an answer already, hence my post. Thanks in advance!
