Just coming back to BMS after a few year hiatus. I’m having trouble getting it to ‘bug’….is it ‘radar curser enable’ (that’s what i found in the manuals) or ‘insert’ on the keyboard? I’m trying that, but it won’t bug…while i’m having no trouble scrolling the curser around on the FCR (i’m usually in RWS). I’m running version 4.34. I’m also having trouble getting DMS down (to switch SOI) to work, too.
Thanks!

AMRAAM in 4.33 vs 4.32…are the B and C models different (besides the smoke)?
If I 'm not mistaken, in 4.32 both were exactly the same in actual performance (because both missiles are largely classified, so why code a bunch of fiction?)…is it the same with 4.33?

RE: Screen will freeze (for a second) every once in awhile…anyway to stop it?
So the problem was resolved (or so it seems…I tried many things, but I think this was the one) via updating the latest AMD driver for my card…sorry to waste everyone’s time lol. I’m now up to 30 FPS again (like I used to with 4.32) and no more freezes!
That said, I’ve been running the program like CRAZY the last two days, and this mod is AWESOME! 4.32 was great…this is spectacular! So glad to be running Falcon again!

RE: Screen will freeze (for a second) every once in awhile…anyway to stop it?
What FPS do you get generally? Is it smooth aside from a random, 1s pause? Is there anything running in the background that could be sapping resources unnecessarily?
Well, I just recently re-installed Falcon (I used to run 4.32 a lot about a year ago, but my old rig died and I haven’t flown since the last few days)…I used to get about 30 FPS on my old rig (which was older/slower), but i’m getting about 25 now (which is fine…I just want to stop the freezing), and ya it’s fairly smooth (but not quite as smooth as 4.32 was, obviously). I’ll get a drop to around 20 FPS when I have the TGP up on an MFD.
I’m thinking it’s the trees (specifically loading all the trees) that’s the main problem…4.32 had FAR less trees (and like I said, I thought i’d clicked an option that removed the trees, since they’re just useless background, when I ran 4.32). Anyone know a way I can remove the trees?

RE: What's the best way to boost FPS using the 'advanced' graphics settings?
You’re welcome… What are your rig specs?
I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but: Windows 10 64 bit, AMD A8-7410 APU, 2.20 Ghz (it’s a Hewlitt-Packard)

I never had this problem when I was running 4.32.
4.33 has a lot more trees and buildings and whatnot (if i’m not mistaken, I think I somehow turned the trees off in 4.32?), could that be the problem?
I’ve just got an old/slow AMD R5 (with 8 gigs of RAM)…i’m mostly a consul gamer (EXCEPT for Falcon!).

RE: What's the best way to boost FPS using the 'advanced' graphics settings?
and I seem to have gotten my FPS up to around 25 now (thanks to editing the config, THANKS sebastianthiago…and also lowering the screen resolution in the graphics settings)…another problem i’m having is the screen/program/game will freeze for a second, every so often. Not a huge deal, but one second can mean a huge difference in an engagement.
Anyone know what I could do to stop said ‘freeze’?

and there is a specific section for performance in the hotlist.
I tried looking for the hotlist (and I used the advanced search tool) but I couldn’t find it?

Turning down object density will result in porked mission results (Kills/Dammages)\
Lots of damaged but no kills on ground targets. And there are other problems I cant remember.
oh, ok…thanks for the heads up!
