playing with the new ECM suite
pretty shot until…
you realise there’s 2 mig 29’s chasing you after dowing a PRC A50 and you’ve only got 1 9x left
Playing with the new ECM suite in 4.37, keeping my AI wing outside the WEZ while I wake it up before having my 2 engage with a harm. While his harm is tracking the search radar, I target the fire control and manage to keep my wing outside the WEZ at all times. I did over G the jet in CAT III config which meant I couldn’t follow up with CBUs but it’ll come good with practice
So I tried the AL with the .37 download and loved how easy it was to setup the HOTAS and set the DX shift. Once I got into BMS though realised it kept swapping my POV hats between my throttle and stick, so I gave up and went back to the stock launcher.
Today I investigated it further and tried swapping the POV numbers in the user cfg I imported from .36……… BINGO!!! It now keeps my throttle POV hat on the throttle and the stick POV hat on the stick.
The AL is a huge bonus, easy to use and I wish I’d looked at it prior to this new release. Great addition to the standard install!
@javo it won’t work with U2, need to wait for an ITO update. Sounds like if you try it with U2 you’ll have problems
@GARDINI said in BMS 4.36 Sigonella AI airplanes disappearing:
@CriticalMass
ok no support on BMS 4.36 ( old stuff!! after few months), but it’s not normal to release a product that still has bugs abandon it and pass a new one… it’s like saying: I release this car even if the brakes don’t work because I’m making a new one that will have probably the same defect. When one takes a product normally for a few years gets assistance isn’t it?
But it’s not a “new” product it’s a continuance of the old product. 4.37 is to 4.36 what a recall is to repair those car brakes (to use your analogy).
@Seifer said in custom falcon bms user.cfg constantly changing:
@lew0984 those are added by AL. And they will be written again if you let it override.
Ah, copy! Thank you
@MaxWaldorf so the User Config settings that now show “setup override” on them can be discarded?
@Carbide you may be thinking the speed itself. It’s not recommended to go above 16x as it can do strange things to the campaign. Anyway, hope that works for you and it’s a pleasure mate!
Enjoy
@Carbide rather than using the “fly” screen to speed it up, try using the 16x option in the UI planning screen (top right hand corner). That way you can speed it right up and then slow it down or stop it around that 10 minute mark, set up your WDP and then enter from there.
@danster and that’s what I’ve learned today. Literally never finished with this sim. Thank you!
@TrueAverage also works for me mate, no change on my end from .36
@MaxWaldorf tried also, no FOV change for me in TV mode, zoom range only
A/A GUNS
Master arm - arm
Dogfight over ride OR guns selected in A/A mode (from the SMS MFD page)
Second trigger detent will fire guns (or equivalent keyboard call back)
A/G GUNS
Master arm - arm
A/G mode
Guns selected through SMS MFD
Second trigger detent will fire guns (or equivalent keyboard call back)
If that’s not working, possibly a mistake in your second trigger detent binding to your stick? Maybe check it’s not inadvertently setting first trigger detent as your second when you pull through the first stage on your two stage trigger.
Also, if you need to enter DF override from MRM override make sure you cancel MRM override before entering DF override, unless you’re using a 3 position switch and/or auto cancel. If you don’t cancel it it will behave strangely as the jet is supposed to pass through “cancel” between modes
Cheers!
